When I was learning to play electric guitar as a young teen.. I was inspired by Boston’s More than A Feeling and God Gave Rock and Roll to You by Kiss.

Depends what I need inspiration for. Here are some...

“Bugler’s Dream” (The Olympic Anthem)
“The Star Spangled Banner”
“God Bless the USA”
“How Great Thou Art”
“Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing”
“A Mighty Fortress Is Our God”
“Eye Of the Tiger” -Survivor
“1812 Overture”

Bonus: Christmas songs (A bit early, but that’s okay)

“I Heard the Bells On Christmas Day”
“Do You Hear What I hear?”

Finally, Amazing Grace! An amazing son I Love! :-)

Judy Collins - Amazing Grace

There are many great renditions. One is the Celtic Woman's version: Celtic Woman - Amazing Grace

And since they've been mentioned, how 'bout: Celtic Woman - You Raise Me Up

Pachelbel’s Canon is beautiful, almost hypnotic in the way it
becomes part of your conciousness.
People hear certain classical passages more often than they may realize.

Another favorite inspiration composition, and extremely common one would be Wagner’s Ride Of The Valkries, when sung by a Mezzo Soprano back by a full orchestra. Now that is both chilling and thrilling.
Her War Cry stays in your head. You can hear it now, can’t you?

Wow, neat little song. Thanks!

Reminds me of Tom T. Hall's: Old Dogs, Children, and Watermelon Wine

Listen to “Suzanne” when sung by Judy Collins. You will be swept away on a dreamy promenade. Listen to the acoustic guitar patterns with lilting melodic chords. It’s the voice plus the guitar in a counterbalance.

Depends what I need inspiration for.

That's a Fact Jack!

Sometimes I find myself inspired by Patton's March and other military oriented songs/marches:

Jerry Goldsmith - Patton March

Bridge on the River Kwai - March

Andre Rieu - Waltzing Matilda, live in Australia
