Aha..resorting to calling vile adjectives is the best you can do? I feel sorry for whichever candidate you are supporting, because you reflect on him/her.

My Dil doesn't have a "Clear Word Bible".

The Clear Word Bible is sold by SDA bookstores and was written by a head honcho of Southern Adventist University.

And we do talk Scripture.

I don't think I'm going to change my entire understanding of the SDA, from the confessions of their own professional theologians and Prophetess, based upon the anecdotes and assertions of someone on the internet.

Nice talking to you.

I don't return the sentiment. All you managed to do was annoy me.

Thank you for fighting the good fight and for trying to explain big words and the English language to some of these people. I doubt you’ll get anywhere, though — even the ones capable of grasping it want to pretend like they don’t.

even Christ has not found a cure for

I completely disagree. Sin is precisely what Christ cures for each and every sinner who receives His free gift.

By proclaiming Carson’s youthful pathology to be incurable, Trump is going way beyond what Carson said. Carson is in a better position to judge the curability of a pathological condition than Trump, being an accomplished physician after all.

Furthermore, Trump’s simple-minded “pathological=incurable” is a gross oversimplification, and simply not true in a number of cases. Certain pathologies are much more likely to present during the rapid changes of adolescence, then recede naturally in adulthood.

Furthermore, the exact relationship between physiology and psychology is still unclear for many pathologies of the mind. A young person may have a perfectly healthy neurological system yet behave in extreme ways because they have been conditioned to that response by their life up to that point. There is no definite, “it always works this way” pattern. Every individual is different.

And let’s not forget the impact of a culture of extreme pharmacology. In countries where psychotropics are unavailable to large numbers of people, there is data that suggests they recover from psychotic breaks in larger numbers and for longer intervals than here. Perhaps our over-dependence on psychotropics is part of the alleged “incurability” problem.

And of course, Trump’s remark is completely out of phase with Scripture. God can cure anything. “Incurable” may make sense if all we mean is we don’t have a human cure for a given disease. But a blanket statement of “incurability” is never true in a universe where God is sovereign.

But the worst of this is Trump’s cleverness in this attack. He has plausible deniability because he can truthfully say he did not call Carson a child molester. But guess what. He just used a Jedi mind trick that works well on the average person. It’s called “transfer.” You don’t need logic to make it work. All you have to do is associate two things at a deeply emotional level. Associate a car with a sexy woman to sell the car. Associate German Jews with greed and cannibalism and launch a genocide. It is a very effective technique, and I would be shocked if someone with Trump’s excellent sales acumen was unaware of it. If he is doing this intentionally, it is a truly dastardly thing to do to anyone.

And no, I am not a Carson fan. Cruz booster here. I just don’t like seeing people do such bad things to each other.

Peace,

SR

This is actually brilliant politics. There is going to be a whole news cycle rehashing Carson’s pathological temper, his disease, his stabbing a friend, his hitting his mother with a hammer, and the whole child molester thing. That’s a bell that can’t be unrung. People are going to have that stuck in their mind. Something is off about that Carson guy.

Trump is branding Carson as psychologically disturbed. Same way he branded Bush as low energy. It’s brutal but effective.

And we all would scream and holler if one of the Democrat candidates admitted to this.

The rest of his statement:

"I just don't know," TRUMP said.

"You'll have to ask him that question. Look, I hope he's fine because I think it would be a shame. What he's saying is these things happen. It'd be nice if he said none of these things did happen. He's saying these things happen and therefore I have credibility. And what I'm saying is, I'd rather have them if they didn't happen. I don't want somebody who hit somebody in the face with a padlock."

NOTHING NEW HERE - just more sensationalism by CNN.

Very well said, thanks.

And I would/will happily vote for Trump if he wins the nomination. But this was the lowest of blows.

I’m not shocked. Trump usually knows exactly what he is doing when he says something.

Thanks Onyx.

That goes with my last post.

I'd like to add the question came from Erin Burnett where Trump usually answers directly. Trump didn't go out of his way here about Carson.

I have not seen CNN so who knows if Trump even said that. The press lies all the time.

Yes.

I am, without a doubt, concerned by someone who entertained the idea of violence of any sort against his mom.

That is way beyond the bounds.

You don’t do anything to your mom except love her and thank her, because but for her, we are all nothing.
