Merkel either has to be one of the most stupid political leaders to have ever breathed a breath for opening her borders, or she is getting a whopping sum for her retirement from the jihadi Middle Eastern oil concerns.

The German people show no sign of rising up on a massive scale that would be necessary to topple Merkel. If the tide is to be turned it will come from the military and police forces turning on the national government and restoring order. I have no idea how far the leftists have penetrated into those forces, however.
Notice that about 20% are from Pakistan - over 20 men for every woman. These are an obvious security threat. Those who claim to be Syrian (as many are coached to do) will be harder to sort out.
If they have no method for whatsoever to weed out the high risk single young males, many will soon rally with their contacts in urban mosques, form cells and arm themselves. Ready for Charlie Hebdo-like attacks this Summer, and wide-scale insurrection by 2017, if called on.

A town of 12,000, like the one in the story, can have serious problems when faced with a violent gang of just a few dozen young men. Even big cities can be effectively be controlled by mafias who represent a fraction of one percent of the population.
Out of the 4,500 immigrants dropped into this small town, they should be able to organize hundreds willing to kill. Out of the 12,000 townspeople, the military age males are probably just about the same number as those among the immigrants (~3,000 each). A few stabbing deaths will intimidate many - and there is already extensive intimidation occurring.
Only about one in two thousand Americans ever kills anyone in their life, and I’d guess that it has been significantly fewer in Germany. Times change though.
