I don’t like taxing income. Taxing consumption is simpler and fairer. Everyone who consumes will pay, unlike the current system in which many avoid and/or evade taxes. But, if taxing income is what we’re stuck with, then a simple flat tax would be preferable. Whatever method is employed should require some level of participation by every citizen.

Why, “The Donald”?
It’s actually annoying... He is a person, not a thing.

"The Donald" caught on after it was first revealed that his first wife referred to him that way as a kind of endearment. All things considered, it kind of does fit his image(s) . . .

(In my own published baseball writings, I did a little takeoff on that when writing about Hall of Famer in waiting Mariano Rivera and his dominance, referring to him as The Mariano . . .)

Thank you for the answer to my question, and many chuckles (is this word in our dictionary anymore, since they are redefining it) reading your FR homepage ;^)

Year ago he was referred to as “The Donald.” Remember?

Maybe you’re too young.

Reading that article made me think of the simplicity and beauty of Christ and his message to mankind.

To complete my thought of the contrast could offend so...

I am sick of people on our side refusing to vote for the BEST candidate b/c establishment hacks have sent out the relentless message that “he can’t win”. They all said this about the Gipper too!

I agree. I would vote for Cruz in a heartbeat. I just have no faith that Americans can get beyond the superfluous media parade.

I think the leftists have succeeded in creating a nation of godless dependents with the reasoning ability of Dodo birds. A significant constituency truly despises America, and many more follow their lead because they are incapable of independent thought.
