The 66 Books are the Books ordained by God to be placed in the Holy Bible. All other so-called books have never been authenticated as truth.
What is your comment(s) on what your pope said? Is he correct or is it blasphemy? This is what this post is about.

I'm doing fine without the intermediary of the Catholic Church at all - and so are many millions of other followers of Jesus. Jesus left us the Holy Sprit. We don't need the "help" of the "Holy Father" in the Vatican, thank you.

Hoo Boy! I listened to and read the words and I don’t see the conflict if I interpret his words in this particular way.
I believe that a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is *essential* for salvation and that some Catholics are probably not saved because they have never sought Jesus on a personal level, only through the rote and ceremonies of the Roman Catholic Church. A person who never comes to Jesus on a personal level cannot be saved no matter how many Hail Marys he says or how much money he donates.
But go back and examine Paul’s teaching to the churches. Does he not say we should not forsake the coming together of believers as a church? Why? Because through communion we examine ourselves before the Lord and through the doctrine of the church are heretics exposed and driven out.
Christians were not meant to go through the journey of growing in Christ alone - and that’s what I received from the Pontiff’s words and he is correct if that is, indeed, what he means to say. We need others praying for us and we need to be praying for other people and interacting with them to develop our spiritual gifts and to keep us from being deceived and turning others away from the truth.
Now, if the Pontiff means, as some of you here might suggest, that the Pope and the Roman Catholic Church are the one true church and anyone outside that boundary is unsaved and living a lie then I would join you in condemning that viewpoint.
However, I am willing to give the Pontiff the benefit of the doubt that we should not be lone wolves with the Gospel of Christ and that communion and fellowship in worship are an essential part of growing in Christ, and to advocate that meaning is entirely correct.
Go back and listen to his words in *that* context and you should find yourself in full agreement if you know your New Testament.

He pretends to in a vain attempt to get people to join with the RC church telling them to come “home” but when it comes to authority he only recognizes his own church and religious order.
His message in this video (for those with ears to hear and eyes to see) says quite clearly that outside of the mediation of the RC church, there is no way you can have a personal relationship with Jesus and to even imagine that you can is dangerous, harmful and absurd.”
