Rush Limbaugh: Media Hyping Carly Fiorina in Order to get rid of Donald Trump
Young Cons ^ | September 19, 2015 | John S. Roberts

Here’s conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh’s take on why Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina is doing so well at the moment…

From The Blaze:

Rush Limbaugh said on his radio program Friday that he believes the mainstream media is “hyping” Carly Fiorina in an attempt to “get rid” of Republican frontrunner Donald Trump.

Limbaugh offered the theory after a listener called into his program complaining that the former Hewlett-Packard CEO is “evil” and will do “anything she can to get ahead.” The listener contended Fiorina is a “political insider” and asked “why the media keeps hiding everything on her.”

“Because they want to get rid of Trump,” Limbaugh replied, according to a transcript on his website. “It’s not that they like her. This is the mistake people are making. It’s not that they like Fiorina. They never liked McCain. They just made him think they did and everybody else. They don’t like any Republican.”

Limbaugh went on to note that the media chooses “our nominees for us” by “making us think they like them.”

What do you make of “El Rushbo’s” comments?

I think it makes sense, even though Carly more than held her own during the second primetime debate.

The man with the nicotine stained fingers is usually spot on with what he has to say, and I definitely wouldn’t ever want to get into an argument over politics with the guy, because I’m sure he’s forgotten more than I’ll ever know.

Many on the right (and obviously on the left) would love for the summer of Trump to end sooner rather than later, so hyping Fiorina (the lone woman amongst a crowded GOP field full of men) fits the bill.

I’ve stated this multiple times including the belief that BOTH Carson and Carly are GOPe stooges/plan B when Jeb quits...

They are already doing hit pieces on Fiorina. Actually, I'm surprised they came out so soon. She might have temporarily gotten some poll traction, but not for long.

Anyway, the more I look at this, the more I see that only Trump has a truly national campaign. Almost all the rest are picking and choosing their primaries, hoping for a miracle. Trump is running in every single primary state and with 1-2 exceptions (always very temporary) leading in all.

I agree she could be useful. The GOP candidates should stop this bickering and demand support for Obama, as was done by Christie, Jeb B. and the pathetic Graham. Instead, they should say what they plan to do and attack the Dems.

I’m pretty sure that’s why CNN changed their criteria for qualifying for the “big kids” debate and let Fiorina attend.

I was here in Csli in 2010, and voted for Fiorina over Boxer. But I don’t remember the details.

Btw, good luck trying to sell that cowflop.

Trump does a good job of selling it. Course unlike you I'm not a buyer.

You beat me to the FETUS on the table.
Yes, where did her sudden rise and pass The Donald’s high percentage among the candidates?

I hope you’re right. We don’t need another MCCain or Romney picked by the media and GOPe for a presidential candidate who can’t win.

I listened to some of Sonders earlier, he’s really pumping for a socialist type government, which we already have. I often wonder about people like Sonders who pump for Socialism or Communism...will they give up their pay checks to help even the living standards in the country? Look what happened in cuba. Elegant homes were turned into multi-family quarters, people who didn’t even know one another. Is this what Sanders is aiming for? Will he allow stangers to share his home with his family? Curious mind want to know. Will anyone ask him this question?

Speaking of polls, Pollingreport.com lists a lot of polls with the question asked.

I think you’re right. Rubio has a smart mouth, as Mom would say. Anything for attention. Carly? I don’t think she has a chance. She’s going to flounder. I noticed she worked for the CIA for a couple of years during W’s tenure.
She’s a Bush Bot.

The mainstream media has been supporting Hillary from the beginning of her campaign, yet Hillary has been falling in the polls; a little-known socialist named Bernie Sanders has moved ahead of her in Iowa and New Hampshire; and the most common words Americans associate her with are ‘’liar’’ and ‘’untrustworthy.’’

So what good does it do to have the mainstream media supporting you? And why would the mainstream media’s support be expected to help Carly Fiorina any more than it’s helped Hillary?

Meanwhile, the GOP Establishment has done everything possible to promote Jeb Bush, with extraordinarily poor results. So why should we expect the same GOP-E to be any more successful at promoting Carly Fiorina?

The record clearly shows that neither the mainstream media nor the GOP establishment has enough power, influence, or money to propel its favorite candidates into the lead.

If Carly Fiorina has risen to her currently high position while Hillary’s and Jeb Bush’s campaigns have continually lost altitude, it must because Carly is a much better candidate than they are. She’s also proven to be a better candidate than Donald Trump who lost Thursday’s debate to her.

Let the best candidate win.
