Briefcase Clock Maker UPDATE: Kid admits forethought – knew it was going to be “suspicious”
Conservative Treehouse ^ | Sep 18, 2015 | Sundance

UPDATE: In his own words Ahmed Mohamed, 14, an Irving MacArthur High student essentially states he knew taking the device to school was controversial. Listen at 1:26 video: “I closed it with a cable, so… because, I didn’t want to lock it to make it seem like a threat so I just used simple cable…. so it won’t look that much suspicious”.

Update#2 – We are not the only people to pick up on the admitted “intent”. Follow THIS LINK – To see exactly how it was engineered and the kids’ story gets even more sketchy.

What in the world makes you think I’m retired? I have decades to go before retirement.

So I guess I missed the part where he was charged with a Class H felonious bomb hoax. Can you post a link showing where he was charged?

You are an ass. That's the whole point of the problem. Three of four threat markers requires some response, and calling the police is very prudent.

Oh, that is very bad news. Now you might cause more harm.

So...why wasn’t he charged?

I am saying that this kid, a son of a Muslim activist, clearly made a test run. If you want to ignore the reality, then you are a fool and an terrorist enabler.

He took apart a fooking alarm clock and stuck it in a briefcase. THAT IS NOT A SCIENCE PROJECT.

How many small-luggage x-ray machine threat simulators have you written? None? Guess my expertise trumps yours, terrorist-enabler.

You know, this whole story is ridiculous. I fly with prototype devices all the time, and never have problems with them as long as I don’t have loose wires. Anybody with any electrical engineering knowledge at all would take a look at this kid’s little case and say, “Bah, whatever,” and move on. That’s apparently what his science teacher did.

The stupidity of the teachers, the hysteria of the media, and the general poor quality of education in America all lead to one inescapable conclusion: America is in decline. This case is a perfect, multifaceted example.

So...why wasn’t he charged?

Because the authorities took prudent measures. They called the police, just as they should have, and the police reviewed the situation, just as they should have. Upon inspection, they did not charge him, which is just the conduct they should have taken.

I don’t give a crap if it’s a science project or not—the point is, it was not a bomb, didn’t look like a bomb, the administrators didn’t treat it as a bomb, and he wasn’t charged with having a bomb or a bomb hoax.

WTF don’t you see? What’s your agenda? Why do you WANT the MSM to run amok with this non-story?

“They never thought he had a bomb.”

The Cops knew the kid was pulling their, and the school’s, chain. He made a fake bomb, and they knew it. Use your head. You don’t make fake suitcase bombs if you are a Muslim kid going to school a few days after 9/11, and showing it to a 2nd teacher when you don’t get the reaction you were expecting from the 1st one, so that it would eventually gain the desired media attention.

You choose not to see the obvious. It’s not that the school and cops thought he made a real bomb. It’s that they thought he made a fake imitation of one to intimidate the school, set up a situation to be able to play Muzzie “victim”, and to be able to file a lawsuit and make money off of the sucker liberals in the MSM and judicial system who would fall for this and defend this punk kid and his radical Dad and family.

Fie on all of them. I hope they get absolutely nowhere in their sick endeavors, and that this kid and his family are put under surveillance in case there are further “incidents” attempted by them.

Three of four threat markers REQUIRES the prudent response the school personnel took.

So is their protocol for reaction to a bomb threat to keep the bomb there in the room and sit around it and sing Kumbaya, or are they supposed to evacuate?

If they don’t evacuate, WTF is the point of the bomb threat?

When I was in elementary school, someone called in a bomb threat, and our entire school evacuated. Why didn’t they do that here?

The background of the dad does weaken the son’s case. However, I would not project ill intent on the son because he happens to have a dad with radical politics.

I would. I believe strongly in profiling when it comes to the religion that supports and encourages terrorism. When the son of a Muslim with Mohammed in his name brings a fake suitcase bomb to school, I would immediately arrest the kid and then go and arrest his entire family on suspicion of terrorism. Then I would seek to remove them from this country. We don't need their type here.

Once again, because you are obtuse as hell:

The authorities took proper and prudent measures. They called the police, just as they should have, and the police reviewed the situation, just as they should have. Upon inspection, they did not charge him or evacuate the school, which is just the conduct they should have taken.

You refuse to see the larger picture with regard to this...the kid brought a device that would get you arrested in any airport or school to provoke a reaction... He is getting exactly what he sought to provoke, and his defenders are falling right in line...just as these aholes predict. Next time , next student will have the C4 included. Count on it!

Okay, then, help me out, since I’m obtuse: the teachers cried, “Wolf,” and the police came out and found that there was no “there” there.

Why is this a national story? Why are you allowing Obama et al. to use this to further the idea that Muslims are discriminated against?

Why are you playing exactly into their hands?

Nobody outside the original teacher’s classroom should have ever heard about this ridiculous story. Instead, it’s sparked a national hue and cry, and you can f*cking BET YOUR LAST DOLLAR that this incident will be repeated time and time again by copycats, some just after their fifteen minutes, and others after lawsuit proceeds.

WAY TO F***ING GO, GUYS.

Sorry if the truth hurts. Try to pan out for the big picture. This is a conservative forum and you should look at what will advance the aims of conservatives, NOT the Administration.
