The movement rebuffed a statement of support from the Democrats. Yeah, the DNC is the man. But this was an olive branch. Take it.
To the surprise of many within the Democratic establishment, the Black Lives Matter movement rebuffed the Democratic National Committees resolution in support of the movement via a terse message posted to the groups official Facebook page on Monday.
A resolution signaling the Democratic National Committees endorsement that Black lives matter, in no way implies an endorsement of the DNC by the Black Lives Matter Network, nor was it done in consultation with us. We do not now, nor have we ever, endorsed or affiliated with the Democratic Party, or with any party, read the first two sentences of BLMs response to the DNCs resolution.
Despite BLMs best attempt at clarity, this response raises far more questions than it answers, and it should make the casual observer wonder why there appears to be so much animus between BLM and the Democratic Party. Surely, BLM could have expressed how it is a separate, independent entity with differing motives than the DNC, while also expressing appreciation for the fact the DNC values the spirit and goals of the movement, right? Regardless of whether BLM wants to form an alliance or announce a truce accepting an olive branch and opening a dialogue with the DNC, the partys gesture should be considered a positive development. Yet BLM appears to view it as something else.
BLMs response continues: The Democratic Party, like the Republican and all political parties, have historically attempted to control or contain Black peoples efforts to liberate ourselves. True change requires real struggle, and that struggle will be in the streets and led by the people, not by a political party.

Scolds BLM for rejecting DNC suck up.
This potential mistake only becomes more glaring when you consider Democratic candidates recent acquiescing to BLMs demands, and the knowledge that President Barack Obama rode a wave of unprecedented African-American turnout levels and support during both of his successful presidential bids. Black voices and votes have arguably never had greater agency and influence in American society; so aspiring to disengage from the political process is emphatically a step in the wrong direction.
“We don’t need no Honky approvals.”
Apparently as BLM rails against white liberals, white liberals think they mean OTHER white liberals.
Why aren’t the Republicans calling out the DNC on their endorsement of BLM?
The goal is war and annihilation of man's last hope for liberty and freedom under God
There's the signpost up ahead ...
the next stop ...
WILL BE YOUR CHOICE BASED ON WHAT YOU HAVE RIGHT NOW ...
Democrats: We’re not the bad ones here, go attack republicans. BLM: you’re white, you’re bad, now die
Because they’re upset they didn’t do it first.
I’ll bet the DNC endorsing BLM will make the police, firefighters and other first responders very happy /s
Black braincells matter. Too bad there are so few of them.
I can’t believe America likes BLM. It is insane the GOP is not going after this endorsement of the savages.
The rejection provides political cover and plausible deniability for the Democrat Party.
They can still tacitly support BLM’s goals, even provide some level of support, but they can also distance themselves from the radical and violent tactics used to achieve them.
It’s a particularly nice, if obvious, piece of political kabuki theater.

“We don’t need your support, crackers, Soros’s check just cleared!”
IOW, they aren't looking for a political solution, the want to settle this in the street.
Whoever is pulling their strings really does want a "hot" race war.
Black Lives Matter big mistake is trying to create a race war in the United States of America. it is obvious, IMHO, that that is what is going on.
Whether they accept the DNC endorsement...which is going to be a huge mistake by the DNC, but what else would you expect? The BLM organization is acting on and advancing the rhetoric of Barack Obama, Eric Holder, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and their ilk.
Sen. Ted Cruz links deputy's murder to Obama administration rhetoric
"I think the violence we're seeing directed at law enforcement is a direct manifestation of the harsh rhetoric and the vilification of police officers, of law enforcement that sadly has come all the way from the top," Cruz said. "Over and over again, President Obama and the Department of Justice and senior administration officials have chosen to vilify law enforcement."
Actually they have never been as deluded as they are through this movement.
BLM, you mean that ANY of your participants have EVER voted OTR*?
OTR = Other Than Rat
“”True change requires real struggle, and that struggle will be in the streets and led by the people, not by a political party.”
Sounds like a preview of things to come - to me a pretty direct, serious threat!
There’s that Black Pride of theirs again...How admirable of them.
