Trump's deportation idea similar to 1930s mass removals

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's call for mass deportation of millions of immigrants living in the U.S. illegally, as well as their American-born children, bears similarities to a large-scale removal that many Mexican-American families faced 85 years ago.

During the Great Depression, counties and cities in the American Southwest and Midwest forced Mexican immigrants and their families to leave the U.S. over concerns they were taking jobs away from whites despite their legal right to stay.

The result: Around 500,000 to 1 million Mexican immigrants and Mexican Americans were pushed out of the country during the 1930s repatriation, as the removal is sometimes called....

It’s a stupid argument. The Jews who were deported in Europe were legal citizens.

I used to go by the post office near where I worked in a part of Cobb Country that had probably at least 10,000 illegals living in it - Smyrna. Every time there where at least three or four illegals getting money orders for the maximum - I think it was $600 or the like.

The US Post Office only charged a dollar for it so it was a big favorite with illegals, and if they could stand the wait in delivery time, it saved them a lot of money over wiring from Western Union, Wells Fargo and the like.

Billions and Billions of dollars - a lot of it under the table and not taxed to the illegals - leaving this country never to be seen again.

How can any right thinking American support Donald Trump’s policy of eating anchor babies, forcing aged senioritas into a Bataan Death March, and harvesting organs from Mexican flower girls?!?!?!

Trump is the only one running even saying the word “deport”

And the only one talking against China and Mexico etc.

That's because all the other politicians running are owned by foreign interests and rich donors.

Trump is the only one that can save America

Just implement the same rules for immigrants that Mexico has.

Trump has called for the deportation of illegals. If their children are citizens, they are free to stay here. Or, get them a passport and they can come and go as they please—depending on where they are going to.

Providing for a family unit is not the responsibility of the government.

These writers are so limited in their thinking, they can’t consider that Trump might actually not have “boxcars” in mind for the illegals. But why should he telegraph what he really has in mind? It’s a real quandary, because the press can do a lot of damage with speculation like this.

Call it Mexiganda

He says they had a legal right to stay

What he means by that is they don’t think the United States have a right to enact and enforce immigration laws against them in particular - after all, isn’t this Stolen Land we are living on?

* Immigration officials must ensure that immigrants will be useful elements for the country and that they have the necessary funds for their sustenance that for their dependents. (Article 34)

* Foreigners may be barred from the country if their presence upset ;the equilibrium of the national demographics,; when foreigners are deemed detrimental to ;economic or national interests, when they do not behave like good citizens in their own country, when they have broken Mexican laws, and when they are not found to be physically or mentally healthy. (Article 37)

* The Secretary of Governance may suspend or prohibit the admission of foreigners when he determines it to be in the national interest. (Article 38)

Mexican authorities must keep track of every single person in the country: * A National Population Registry keeps track of every single individual who comprises the population of the country, and verifies each individuals identity. (Articles 85 and 86)

* A national Catalog of Foreigners tracks foreign tourists and immigrants (Article 87), and assigns each individual with a unique tracking number (Article 91).

* Foreigners with fake papers, or who enter the country under false pretenses, may be imprisoned:

* Foreigners with fake immigration papers may be fined or imprisoned. (Article 116)

* Foreigners who sign government documents with a signature that is false or different from that which he normally uses; are subject to fine and imprisonment. (Article 116)

Foreigners who fail to obey the rules will be fined, deported, and/or imprisoned as felons:

* Foreigners who fail to obey a deportation order are to be punished. (Article 117)

* Foreigners who are deported from Mexico and attempt to re-enter the country without authorization can be imprisoned for up to 10 years. (Article 118)

* Foreigners who violate the terms of their visa may be sentenced to up to six years in prison (Articles 119, 120 and 121). Foreigners who misrepresent the terms of their visa while in Mexico such as working with out a permit can also be imprisoned.

Under Mexican law, illegal immigration is a felony. The General Law on Population says,

A penalty of up to two years in prison and a fine of three hundred to five thousand pesos will be imposed on the foreigner who enters the country illegally.(Article 123)

* Foreigners with legal immigration problems may be deported from Mexico instead of being imprisoned. (Article 125)

* Foreigners who attempt against national sovereignty or security; will be deported. (Article 126)

Mexicans who help illegal aliens enter the country are themselves considered criminals under the law:

* A Mexican who marries a foreigner with the sole objective of helping the foreigner live in the country is subject to up to five years in prison. (Article 127)

* Shipping and airline companies that bring undocumented foreigners into Mexico will be fined. (Article 132)

All of the above runs contrary to what Mexican leaders are demanding of the United States. The stark contrast between Mexicos immigration practices versus its American immigration preachings is telling. It gives a clear picture of the Mexican governments agenda: to have a one-way immigration relationship with the United States.

[there are also penalties for "anchor babies" and no citizen ship]

“Around 500,000 to 1 million Mexican immigrants and Mexican Americans were pushed out of the country...”

What Trump wants to do is wayyyyyyyyy different. :)

He wants to push out 11-50 million illegals not a measly million. 1+ million who are serious criminals.

“boxcars”

Many of them arrived riding ON TOP of boxcars, it’s much safer to ride inside.

They got themselves here and many will get themselves home once we stand up for ourselves and start enforcing the laws.

The ones we have to remove are either bussed to the border if they are Mexicans or flown home to points south or on other continents. We have illegal aliens from EVERYWHERE.
Most will go home on their own once we make it hard to be an illegal alien. It is in almost every other country. Try it in Mexico, for instance.

They are trying to create a link in people’s minds to the boxcars used by the Nazi’s.

counties and cities is the key phrase.

Prior to Nixon both pre-1920s when there was no such thing as “illegal immigrant” and from the 1920s to 1970 immigration enforcement was a local matter. That centralization of government power has been the single biggest mistake in immigration policy in our history.

Local law enforcement knows who are the murderers, rapists, DUI drivers and petty misdemeanor nuisances. INS has no clue and under Trump or Cruz or any president will have no clue who the undesireables are.
