I’m all in for Cruz, but do you really think Trump is going to be anybody’s VP? No possible way does Trump agree to being the number two guy.
Not going to happen. Trump is the alpha male, Cruz can watch how it’s done for 8 years. He might be ready then.

As much as I love Ted it has to be Trump/Cruz. I just can't see Donald Trump playing second fiddle to anybody.
The chances of The Don being a second banana are about the same as Salma Hayek dumping her billionaire husband and calling me for a date.
I could accept it either way. If Trump gets the nomination I want Cruz in there to keep the constitution on line. You can’t do better in this day and age than to have a conservative Ivy League government constitutional lawyer as your VP when you are as aggressive as Trump. But I would fear Trump getting into the White House without a conservative, pro-Christian, Cruz by his side.
The other way around would be better - Cruz/Trump. Cruz could restore the constitution and repeal all the bad EO’s while Trump cleaned up the trade mess with Cruz’s cooperation.

“Let it Be So could support it” isn’t what it takes to win. To get Cruz into the President post, we need him to veep for Trump first. Adjust your realism and we’ll see President Cruz in 5 years!
