Trump’s not perfect, but neither is Megyn Kelly
Canada Free Press ^ | 08/26/15 | Judi McLeod

Don’t any of the presidential primary candidates go picking on Kelly because it’s bad for your presidency

Thin-skinned journalists of the latter day are getting to be just like Democrat politicians, insult them and they’ll soon demand an apology.

“On Tuesday, Fox News chief Roger Ailes said in a statement Donald Trump should apologize for a tirade of tweets aimed at Fox News host Megyn Kelly. (Fox News, Aug. 25, 2015)

“Donald Trump’s surprise and unprovoked attack on Megyn Kelly during her show last night is as unacceptable as it is disturbing. Megyn Kelly represents the very best of American journalism and all of us at Fox News Channel reject the crude and irresponsible attempts to suggest otherwise,” Ailes’ statement reads. “I could not be more proud of Megyn for her professionalism and class in the face of all of Mr. Trump’s verbal assaults. Her questioning of Mr. Trump at the debate was tough but fair, and I fully support her as she continues to ask the probing and challenging questions that all presidential candidates may find difficult to answer,” Ailes said. “Donald Trump rarely apologizes, although in this case, he should. We have never been deterred by politicians or anyone else attacking us for doing our job, much less allowed ourselves to be bullied by anyone and we’re certainly not going to start now. All of our journalists will continue to report in the fair and balanced way that has made FOX News Channel the number one news network in the industry.”

Everyone should from here on in ignore FOX and refuse to get sucked into whatever game they’re playing. Even CNN is starting to look good these days.

The issues we face, like the loss of our country for good for example, are too important and at a pivot point right now. This is not the time to get sidetracked.

Incidentally, what is 0bama and his henchmen doing while all this is going on? Anyone covering the latest atrocities from the WH?

I think the criticism and invective against Megyn Kelly has been way over the top, but I also think that FNC, in their quest to be “fair and balanced” and to maintain ratings has drifted somewhat leftward and very pro-establishment in the last several years.

I don’t have a particular opinion about Kelly because I don’t watch her show because I find her irritating.

I do think that this little episode has provided an opportunity for Ailes and the others to wake up and ask themselves if they really are on the right track, and if they want to practice journalism like the dinosaur media does.

FWIW.

CNN covered Trump’s appearances at the news conference and rally wall-to- wall last night. Fox was sulking with its regular lineup when we switched over to check, so we watched CNN for the first time in years. Fox is going to lose this fight with Trump.

Interesting, I have been watching CNN since Fox exposed that they are all in for Jeb. Don Lemon is very good at expressing Donalds point of view. Anything but oreally and kelly.

I think Megyn Kelly is perfect for any presidential candidate ready willing and able to make an example of in the battle against the media on the road to the White House

I used to respect and like Kelly. But had to stop watching her at some point. I don’t like agenda driven journalism and that is what she was doing.

Sometimes I wonder if the whole Trump/Kelly feud is mutually manufactured to promote both.

Mika seems positively respectful of Trump’s skills and openly enjoys him, even explains him and defends him.

She was the first to say Trump is around to stay and push back against the guests who kept saying he was done.

Yes, that morning Joe show beats O’REALLY, and Me*again Kelly.

This is an old routine. Mika loves Trump. If Trump gets the nomination Mika will be supporting the “democrat” regardless. It could be Karl Marx. It won’t matter. Listen to the interview of Megyn Kelly by Howard Stern. She sounds like a pretty slutty adolescent.

A very good question.

All things being the same, in fifteen months, I personally believe it will be shocking how many Democrats will vote for Trump. Even in New York.

Hillary is collapsing and no Democrat will appreciate her letting her loyalist, Huma Abedin, swing for the email corruption, even if Hillary should last to the primary vote.

I am no savant but already there is this morning one story covering a Hispanic woman defending Trump, and there were the two black ladies called, Stump for Trump, who are making appearances on his behalf with great enthusiasm. I think they were from South Carolina, maybe, and he is running away with polls there.

Trump claims he is getting positive feedback from many minorities, and he DID rank at 35% in Nevada among Hispanics there who have had enough.

What do you think about his chances in New York? It’s crazy isn’t it? Just, wow!

Yes, I should have said that. I agree. Mika is being more than fair to Trump right now, but she is a Warren socialist from head to toe. We know how she will vote. But given the FOX treachery, she is far superior for the moment than the FOX prime time Kelly and O’REALLY.

Kelly’s ILEGAL immigration reporting is piss poor. She, O’Reilly, Perino, Whorealdo and Gutfeld are hurting the Fox brand.
