Another appalling thing...it's not on private computers their employers doesn't have access to. Smart people who work on computers for a living have another device with them at work which they use for personal stuff.
The kind of posting we do here is not the same as what these folks are getting in trouble for.

I suspect there might people that are on that list who used it for a free trial just laugh at the perverts that would use the site. Thus those people are actually not guilty of anything of consequence

Am I the only one surprised we haven’t heard more names than the two mentioned already: Josh Duggar and the head of the Republican Party in Louisiana. I get the feeling that whoever is doing the ‘digging’ is only looking for conservative/Republican names, because they must have come up with hundreds of left wing ones.

IIRC when Tony Snow (RIP) became Press Secretary for the President he asked that his postings here on FR be deleted so the MSM wouldn’t hound him over them so there is truth to what you say. Another article says that dozens of WH employees were found, and that these employees had accessed the site from government computers (a clear violation of the law) but they were not releasing the names because they were "not elected officials." WTH? So these other two guys they outed might have been scumbags, but were not breaking the law, but the WH employees WERE breaking the law, but since they were not elected, they give them a pass?
I think that had this had happened during the Bush admin, every single name and email would have been released by the MSM.

I completely agree with your post. I feel like it’s only a matter of time until some left-wing hacker makes all of our real IDs public along with our FR posting histories. That might be fine for some, but I work in a leftist-heavy environment with a LIV/bordering-on-leftist manager. indeed there is a rumour going around that they were then trawling for email id’s at best or worse using it as a further threat, you are entering your email id because you were involved...
