We would have already had our big earthquake in CA, except our polluting keeps putting off the big one. Keep up the good work.

So, “they” will be attacking the closed missile silos in western South Dakota that are now National Monuments?

I guess “they” don’t like tourists.

Iran keeps threatening 5 or 6 cities (for their first attack). This is the additional and apparently much more immediate nuke bombing threat that O is creating for America, over and above anything China or Russia might represent. Therefore, it would be helpful if these cities were shown in brighter color on the death map.

(NYCity, WashDC, SF, LA, Chicago, and I think it was either Boston or Houston, sorry can’t remember)

I strongly doubt there will be a nuclear bombardment of the type envisioned in this map. I think it’s much more likely that Iran will finally get that bomb (or several) and use it/them to create an EMP that will throw us back to the 1800s. (Remember, they LIKE it in the past!!) I’m certainly not an expert on the matter, but I suspect a mass missile attack by Russia is a pretty remote possibility. I would hope they still fear a MAD-level response.

Hard to imagine China attacking us as long as we’re a primary crap customer of theirs. OTOH, they could take a few hits and shrug off the population loss if we even bothered to retaliate.

But I suspect we’ll see a nuclear attack on an American city in my lifetime. Probably just one, or a handful, and likely one of the coasts. I would guess ground based (smuggled) or ship based (short range missile or maybe even detonated in a port).

Just MHO.

It used to be a rule of thumb that it would be about 23 minutes from launch to first detonation, depending on your geographic location.

We used to joke that the first to know would be a particular farmer in North Dakota whose living room window looked out on the missile launch facility on a patch of land he rented to the AF. He’d see and hear one of the first MMIIIs that would leave the hole. I think it was in Delta flight, but it’s been a long time.

If you live in or near a nuclear target area then learn when to evacuate.

Does anybody sensible actually believe we'll be told of any impending Nuke strike?
Freepers will know about it first, but by then,

I knew Columbus, OH would be a target. It’s a major supply distribution hub. While I’m far enough from the city to survive the initial strike, even if it’s in the megaton range, there’s quite a few targets to the south and west where fallout is probably going to get me.

Stupid Map. Not even Tsar Bomba would make blast that big. I lost my fear of nuclear weapons with NNSA/OST. IMHO, they are obsolete with our current, modern force projection. I live 17 miles from LRAFB (active AF base, 7k ft runway, WSA storage area (nuclear free since 1992) and I don't worry a bit. We will never get a "bolt from the blue, massive, nuclear attack.

With that being said, I wouldn't live in NYC, DC, Seattle, Kings Bay, Shreveport, near Whiteman AFB, Omaha, or downwind of the ICBM fields.

If Trump doesn’t get in the White House this entire country will become a death zone. Picture soup kitchens that serve nothing but free condom soup.

Some of the supposed “targets” are ludicrous. For example, there’s a red dot along the Mississippi River between the Missouri Bootheel and Northwest Tennessee. The last target of military value, Eaker AFB (located near Blytheville, AR) shut down over 20 years ago. Dropping a nuke in that area would fry hundreds of catfish in the river and scorch some adjacent farm land, and that’s about it.

Likewise, there appears to be a red dot on Branson, Missouri. Guess the nuclear targeteers in Russia and/or China didn’t like their visit to the Ozarks, or they want to deny a post-apocalyptic vacation to surviving senior citizens.

I lived in a place one time where if the balloon went up, I had seven minutes to tuck my head between my legs and kiss my ass good bye.

All of these scenarios deal with the destruction of the USA.
Just think about our retaliation.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but our Boomers alone could pretty much end all life in Russia, China, North Korea and Iran.
And then any remaining armies foolish enough to invade what’s left of the USA would find a gun behind every blade of grass.
