Yes, it fits so well, because (for those unfamilar with the movie), even though Kruge had murdered Kirk’s son and vanquished the Enterprise (had to self destruct, IIRC), Kirk still extends Kruge his hand. (The 2014 elections?)
Also, one thing I’d never really noticed before today is the way, after realizing Kruge is determined to drag him (Kirk) off into the abyss, Kirk sort of pauses, shakes his head “no”, and THEN kicks Kruge off the cliff, into the magma.
“I... have had... enough of YOU!!!”
I don’t know if the little head shake is the directing (Nimoy) or Shatner, but the whole thing is a great scene, and truly a metaphor for today’s situation...

Very well said! I agree with every word, especially about George Will. He is the epitome of RINO arrogance and disdain for the conservative base. The conservative base must teach the RINOS who is boss & that we won’t be pushed around any longer.
