A few years ago Oreo ran some ads with “Mr. Stuffy” which was an man in full oreo costume. At one point in the commercial Mr. Stuffy runs toward the camera. One of my GSPs thought he was coming at us and launched off the couch at it. She never trusted Mr. Stuffy after that.

Making them wear “clothes”.

Loving them up.

Talking “baby talk” high & whiny to them. (All this does is rile up the dog and get him more anxious/excitable; VET TECHS and GROOMERS PLEEEAASE stop doing that!)

One for my husband’s uncle’s dog once upon a time: stuffing them full of treats (again, “loving”). She was uninterested and seemed to almost take it in hopes of stopping the humans from bothering her about it. Love it!
