As much as can be generalized, Jews have traditionally been liberal. This can be explained by the fact that Jews have been persecuted throughout history and they tend to identify with people and groups that are or appear to be marginalized.

With the rise of the new anti-Semitism on the left under the guise of being anti-Israel but holding Israel to a different standard than other countries with serious human rights abuses, it is hard to understand how liberal Jews can still support the left. This has become more apparent with the agreement reached with the United States and Iran that pretty well assures the Persian nation will acquire nuclear weapons. Iran does not hesitate in expressing the opinion that Israel should be wiped off the map.

Jews have always done well as trusted advisors to the ruling elite. They see socialism/communism as the perfect system for the masses to be tightly controlled by a ruling elite, so they want to be in that position to be the voice in their ear, or the hands on the levers of power behind the curtain. This is especially true in nations with a nominally Christian majority.

My grandfather came to NYC from somewhere in Russia in the early 1900’s. He was probably met on the dock by a political hack from the Democrat party who gave him a meal, a coat and finding out what he did for a living, a job. He became a Democrat.

My father was born in NY. The family lived in Brownsville, Brooklyn. With all their neighbors and the community all experiencing what my grandfather experienced, they were all Democrat. This meant my father was a Democrat. Like every other young man in the neighborhood, my father went to Korea, won a couple of medals, came home and found a job in Manhattan. As did most of his friends.

Like everyone else at that time, my father met a nice Jewish girl, got married and sometime during the next 13 months, I was born. I grew up listening to my father and his friends talk. I became a Democrat. I was the kid, told to lay in the street when the local teens protested Kent State. My school was integrated and black kids were bussed in. Older kids I knew who one day were teaching me to play ball, suddenly vanished. A few came back. A few didn’t. I became a Democrat.

Then one morning, I woke up, heard that Russia went into Afghanistan. I also heard about Iran taking Americans hostage. But most importantly, some idiot from Plains Georgia, instead of doing something meaningful, was hitting imaginary rabbits with an oar. Also, my parents started complaining more and more about how their hard earned money is being taken from them by the “schmucks in Washington.”

My parents became Republicans. Not long after that, I went into the military and my first vote in any election was for Ronald Reagan. I was now a Republican.

Here is the difference. Wealthy liberal Jews stayed in a circle of friends, working the system to their benefit. Their involvement in their employment,lifestyle and political aspirations kept them in the Democrat fold. My father and his friends and co-workers could no longer afford to be Democrats.

For the wealth Jew, that elitism over his fellow Jews was the downfall. They became “Jewish.” My father remained a “Jew.”

We already read the Torah. You must mean the Talmud, especially that chapter on Jesus. I didn’t mean that Jews want dominion over Christians, but we are an inconvenient truth (to steal a phrase from the Progs). For us to have the audacity to think that we are grafted on to your tree must generate some anxiety, and since the Prog agenda includes the eradication of Christianity from culture, there are some common goals there.

So, as a group (generalization, of course), Jews tend to lean left. We know that in the US, approximately 80% voted for Obama’s reelection even after you knew what he was all about. I would suggest from these facts that the modern nation-state called Israel is not as important to those Jews who do not live under the Arab guns as the removal of Jesus Christ from American and European culture.

Look at George Soros. Also look at Jesse Jackson. They want to eat at the grownup table so they are willing to sell out their own people for a seat at the table. Half of all Jews have little to nothing to do with Judaism. They vote just like Episcopalians in the same urban class.
I never bought the 75% of Jews BS. Many of the most anti-Obama Jewish areas were trashed by Sandy so the anti-Obama Jewish vote in NYC and NJ was suppressed. Meanwhile Jews not living in liberal cities tend not to be counted in exit polls.
American Jewry is changing the libtard Jew descended from 1880-1921 immigrants is the past, at least in NY. 3/4 of Jewish children under 5 are Orthodox. Of the remainder, most are the children of Russian Jews, who really don't like communism or Obama.
