Thanks, never thought of that. I’ll have to try it.

I never get scrambled eggs from McD's.

Scrambled eggs are for kids! Hahahaha!

What I used to do, if the sammich came with scrambled, I would request "Round Egg", which is the lingo the staff use for the classic, regular egg they use on the Egg McMuffin.

"Round Egg" on a Sausage McGriddle (w/cheese) was always a favorite... one sammich and I would be satisfied...

I think the problem, especially since McD's "round egg" is now not from a factory made loaf, but actually, a quasi-hard poached "Fresh Cracked Egg", that the problem is in the sausage patie... probably MSG, or as they call it now "autolyzed yeast extract" or (I guess) "Spice Extractives".

It's too bad... I really did like their breakfast sammiches.

Anyways, please do click that video linked above... I like the fact that a local franchise owner is right there with his staff, putting a behind the scenes professional video out there. I am certainly no McDonald's basher... just disappointed by some of how the corporation has gotten derailed from providing what is expected by American consumers, rather than social engineering crap. Make good, satisfying food, for a low price, and make it FAST.

p.s. Try the Premium McWrap, w/ grilled chicken, and bacon... and NO garlic sauce... it's pretty good actually!

Or you could do what I do. When the sausage egg mcmuffins are on sale I go buy bags of them and freeze them. 30-60 seconds in the microwave and they taste like you just picked them up.

I remember when I was a kid, our family would do that very same exact thing with Roy Rogers Bacon Cheeseburgers!

I support this move. Sausage McMuffin with Egg = Guilty pleasure...

Ask for it with "Round Egg", you will not be disappointed.

Only took ‘em since 1993 when “Falling Down” made an issue about it to figure it out.

Not anymore. Used to be one of the perks of working breakfast as the “snake ends” used to hold the end and make the biscuits rise right. Dip those in the butter that was on the grill, good snacking. Then they switched to frozen ones shipped in. Saved a lot of labor and waste.

They may not be cooking, but they will be taking your order, and your money. You can bet hard cash on that.
Every fast food restaurant will be that way if $15 minimum wage is passed. Either that or your Big Mac will be $8.

Think there are no open lines at Wal-Mart now, hahah just wait. Half, or more of those self checkout lines will be installed in days.

MCD's has been serving weekend brunch until 11 AM for about a decade.

No where around here do they do that. Franchise decision. Occasionally end at 10:45 instead of 10:30 if there are still a lot of breakfast customers. Carl's Jr used to end breakfast at 11:00. Haven't been there in a while.

I often miss breakfast and end up at Jack-in-the-Box, who doesn't yet seem to have raised prices on product containing real egg. Their Breakfast Jack has been faithful to me for 35 years.

We are fortunate in this area -- good owners, workers and customers at quick service joints.

It is official, they are phasing in a 15/hour min wage in NY for fast food workers only! One industry, just arbitrary.

If I owned a fast food joint, oh I would immediately call those counter workers waiters and waitresses or servers to be politically correct.

And have table service and allow the customer to order their Big Mac medium rare with a side salad and fried to a golden brown potato sticks as a vegetable .

Same price and those counter people would be paid the wage of a server, not like some in fields like emergency first responders..

What a world..

I've never found a slightly spicy sausage patty like the one they use.

Try Jimmy Dean's sausage mixes - sage or maple. Wife bought one of the steel rings to form the fried egg like McDs, fries one JD sausage patty, and serves it on a hot biscuit like those from the grocery store's dairy section. Top it off with a spoonful of Wal-Mart's salsa and you have Perfection.

I really, really like the Steak, Egg, and Cheese McMuffin (I usually get it with egg white and white cheddar instead of the regular egg and cheese). Being able to get it for lunch instead of just breakfast will definitely get me into McDonald’s more often than I otherwise would go.
