Why Did South Reward Racist Killer and Encourage Racism?

Why did the southern states reward a racist murderer by making him the most significant southern political figure since Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.? Are southern politicians so ignorant that they don’t understand that the people who commit such crimes do so to get attention? Why are they aiding and abetting his effort to steal the Confederate Flag and make it a symbol of racism? Why are they trying to cause whites to be mad at blacks and possibly hate them?

The whole thing about the Confederate flag being racist makes no sense to me. The people who want to wave that flag aren't hurting anyone. The fact that some kook takes his picture with it doesn't mean anything.

Actually pre-USA, Captain John Smith (of Jamestown fame) had been a slave of the Ottoman Empire - before he escaped. Slavery, evil and dreadful as it was, was not uncommon in those days.
It exists today in overt forms (Islamics often enslaving captives in Africa and the Middle East), and in more subtle forms (the Welfare State slowly enslaves the recipients to the State and Government handouts).

There are no inherently racist symbols. Racists may attempt to use objects or designs as racist symbols, but the symbols can only become racist if others allow the racists to have a monopoly on the use of a symbol.

Bingo. The klan cross burning doesn't make Christians racist. The Methodist symbol I grew up with is a cross and flame and most definitely not racist. (Acts 2:3)



I wonder how many realize that prior to WWII, our method of saluting the American flag was exactly like the nazi salute.

Oh many of the “other races” seem to think that all of us whiteys sleep on mattresses filled with cash like Uncle Scrooge and that we have no problems in life whatsoever. The truth is most of us whiteys are working an extra 10 - 15 hours a week so that the gibsmedats don’t have to work. WE are the indentured servants and we’re no paying reparations because we already paid it in full plus and the fact that none of us enslaved anyone.

It’s what they do. Banning the Confederate flag was the biggest and splashiest action they could take to pander to the media and much of the populace. The fact that it was also the most meaningless in terms of actually addressing the problems we have wasn’t important. It was the show that counted and not the substance.

I've actually been long puzzled about pirates being thrust upon kids as a cute role model & protagonist. Even when "bad", it's just a cute "bad". We're talking villainous scum who were well organized roving gangs, devoted to killing/raping/pillaging, living under presumably horrid conditions and most certainly not being nice to anyone. Even when portrayed for adults (presumably raised upon such affable troublemakers) we get an amusing drunk living a life of happy happenstances.

I believe he is referring to the Charleston shooter - this fallout is all rather incredible and looks a bit orchestrated IMO, just like the false narrative of Ferguson and Baltimore.

The South was the last bastion of Freedom-loving patriots and Rebels with a Cause, but then it got heavily infiltrated by Lib/Leftie Yankees from the NE corridor who wanted to escape the mess they created in their home states. The PTB will not rest until the South is once again annihilated culturally.

I blame it all on air conditioning. The Yankees would have stayed home were it not for the AC making life tolerable. Their carpetbagger money has continued the devastation that was started by Lincoln and continues on to this day, all without guns and cannons... so far.
