There are a few select moments in broadcast TV when the production content highlights a very distinct reality – and simultaneously informs the viewership on the absurd construct of political dynamics. Last night Sean Hannity did just that.
Former Texas Governor Rick Perry has been blasting 2016 GOP candidate Donald Trump over Trump’s remarks about illegal alien criminals. Perry’s criticism has aided the liberal media’s efforts to isolate, ridicule and marginalize Trump.
However, using Rick Perry’s own Texas border reality, and showing the criminal statistics inherent from Perry’s own team, Hannity shows how Donald Trump is right, and Perry is just playing politics. It was one of the best constructed segments Hannity has ever broadcast.
The segment begins at 03:35 and runs through 08:12. The most substantial moment comes at 05:35. Watch:

Seasn kept on bringing up these stats from Texas, but Perry did not address them.
Regarding Perry’s comments.
He knew full well what Trump said.
However, he along with many others have mis-quoted Trump in the same
exact way, which leads me to believe this is a coordinated line of attack
against Trump,

You mean he won’t commit fully to conservative ideals? Leave no questions to ask about how/why he is? Why he talks tough but “my good friend...” greets every enemy to conservatism he gets on his show?
Why do you think I give a crap about this? I’ve listened to him for years. Huntsville, to Alanta and his big Fox break....butt buddies with that opportunistic scoundrel Boortz, showcases that liberal saboteur Jaimie Dupree, etc.
I came to the conclusion he’s not worth my time as a conservative. I’ll leave it at that.
This was a terrible week for Rick Perry. He interviewed with the Fox panel and Brett Baier, and he just didn’t come across well. And then his statement about Trump just didn’t seem sincere. Beyond the words and all, it was rote, shallow, punch-the-ticket stuff.
I think Rick Perry can be written off.

AND they were there only to observe, not take any direct action, not stop a single illegal alien from crossing the border.
Un-Armed too, if I remember correctly.
I do believe so. Just merely unarmed observers.
So, when Rick “I favor Illegal Aliens over Americans” Perry claims he sent the National Guard to the border, it is a bold faced lie because he did not send them as one might believe.
