Pit Bull Puppy Weighed Down in Deep Water at Florida Beach

Pit bull with weight attached tied to mangrove, repeatedly dunked in deep water at Florida beach.

Witnesses say they recorded video of a man attaching a 20-pound weight to a pit bull puppy then tying it to a mangrove in deep water and repeatedly dunking its head, according to WPTV.

Mayda Tress told the TV station she was at Critter Beach in Tequesta with her granddaughter on Friday when she noticed what a man and teenage boy were doing to the puppy.

I am deathly afraid of pit bulls. Seeing one coming down the street with its owner has me tread very carefully. But for God's sake, what this man did is beyond savage. His did a horrible act in which he weighed down a pit bull puppy in the water, where it almost died. Watch the video. It shows and tells everything. Including that the cops did not charge the man for anything. The cops are as bad as the man.

Other sources on this are saying the guy claimed he was a dog trainer, that it was a training exercise. I guess the puppy would get a pretty good workout struggling with the 20-lb weight trying to make it to the surface for air. I’d like to try it out on the guy with a 100-lb weight tied around his foot.

Too bad you are uninformed cause many of us know this guy in the link and I am sure his owner didn’t dunk him beat him or smack him around and if he did he would be the same as the current feral kids we are seeing ROAMING

If there is an animal shelter with a humane officer, I would contact them. They could at least let the guy know he’s being watched.

I love dogs, but am no particular fan of Pit Bulls, although I've seen and petted many very friendly ones, but the nature of the media is such that they look for trends. So it may not necessarily be that other breeds aren't attacking people, but rather that those incidents are just being deliberately under-reported.
