Knee-jerking and implying that anyone who disputes your position is using tactics of the Left, is a waste of time. That you don't recognize the leftist tactic of distracting people and dividing them getting then to argue over whether or not the gun that killed someone was a "machine gun" or high-powered rifle, is AMERICA's PROBLEM, not just your own. I am sad to say.
Which is why accuracy is important.
As for your other point, Waco now has the dubious distinction of having been the locale of two of the most egregious abuses of the law in modern history. Perhaps because they got away with the first over crazy 'Christians' it encouraged them to try it on another group that has no constituency in the form of 'outlaw biker gangs'.
It's pretty obvious that THAT is where you're at.
How else could the accurately, clearly written Constitution end up so bastardized in spite of its accurate, concise language?
Coming from someone whose entire life and income is centered around the "accurate" use of language, would you like the language that applies to this very thorny truth that accuracy in language is illusion, and you must somehow deal with it ALWAYS?
One word: PRIORITIES.
The misuse of the word "machine gun" is of low priority here.
TOP priority is the misuse of language in the MSM, where "gangs" and "clubs" are used interchangeably, where "experts" are demonstrably so inept that either they have zero clue of who they are arresting OR they are dismal failures at catching violent criminals even when they're proudly wearing signs on their back identifying them as such (fewer than one in three of these so-called criminals had ever been arrested before).
Get your priorities straight and stop playing fetch the stick every time somebody throws an errant word at you.

Miscarriage of justice in the aftermath of the shooting in Waco.
Not the first time in Waco.
Using the accepted words of the Left to build hysteria serves only the Left.
The case is in the 'system' and will be adjudicated.
Those hosed by the 'system' and the PD in Waco will reap financial windfalls.
Hopefully if the cops are shown to have murdered people they will pay for it unlike the Feds did in Waco I.
Now, now as a citizen of California you should know that whenever a group gains political power they read whatever they want. The same happened to the US Constitution, do you agree with the bastardization of it? Does that bastardization render the original document void? No it doesn't. Be accurate, and there is no need for correction.

The autopsies should be interesting. 12 shots my ass! I’ve seen cops with ARs shoot, never stop short of the full mag.

AFAIK, NO witness has stated that the LE fired first.
The video must be really damning to the LE there that day or they would have released it that day or the next at the latest.
Remember when the big black guy was killed by a LEO and before they did anything they released the video of the big guy pushing around the store clerk as he stole a bunch of cigars to use for blunts. They had that video in practically minutes and on air for all to see so everyone knew the big black guy was bad news.
Now we are almost two months out from this massacre and nothing. Less than nothing because they are all fighting the release of the video. It must really make the LE there look bad and will definitely be used in all the civil lawsuits to come for wrongful arrest and detention.
Not even the coroners or ballistic reports have been released. I think we can safely say LE really screwed the pooch that day. The big question is who is going to take the fall for it.
