Greek PM proposes a union with San Juan: New nation to be called "Puerto Greco"
one man's opinion...

In a surprising last minute effort to solve his country's overwhelming financial crisis, Greek PM Tsipris proposed that his nation merge with US protectorate Puerto Rico. Tsipris said this would immediately solve Greece's financial problems, as Obama will no doubt soon move to bail out Puerto Rico, and Greece would, as part of the new nation, be included.

A perfect match between two dead beats.

A more likely scenario is the possibility that Greece might decouple from the EU and hitch up with Russia. It then becomes Russia’s problem. The EU may very well say good riddance let Russia support this dead beat nation.

With Puerto Rico, as it is US territory, the US taxpayers are on the hook I would imagine.

I say let it go bankrupt and be done with the island altogether. Cut it loose.

They’d have a pretty good basketball team.

Brilliant, put more people on the sinking ship. Greece’s utopian welfare state just didn’t work out now did it? Hey Governor Moon Beam, can you and your corrupted communist liberal political cronies in Sacramento get the hint?

Exactly.

Usually a parasite does not seek another parasite.

A parasite needs a strong host to feed off of.

Actually, we can solve the crisis in the Middle East through a merger of Judaism and Islam. We can call it “Jislam.”
