Thank you so much for your message and prayers. Sophia and I are currently in the Ft. Worth area and are starting with the top doctors at Cooks Childrens Hospital while she recovers and to complete intensive rehabilitation to try to learn to speak, use her arm and walk again. The stroke paralyzed her entire left side, the Lubbock neurosurgeons could not help her so they had Texas Chîldrens Hospital send their private jet for her and the doctors at Texas Chîldrens Hospital were baffled as to what caused the loss of blood supply to her brain. We were told it was a disease called MoyaMoya then told it was a dissection of the carotid artery finally upon discharge there they said they just didn’t know. Her brain is healing itself and we know that Christ is the true healer and continue to pray. We have been told she would die within days and never walk again but my little angel is a fighter and continues to improve, we know it is prayers and Christ’s power. Our plan is to head to Boston Childrens if she can’t be helped here. My son is on the greatest vacation traveling with family between Texas, Alabama and California since my husband and I felt he didn’t need to be around the stress of this all. He has spent her entire 6 years of life watching her go in and out if hospitals with one problem after another, he is only nine, but this time we decided he should just enjoy summer not worrying. We arrived in Ft. Worth last week and he joined us the next day, he will be with us until the 16th when he returns with my sister and parents to California for loads of adventure! Sophia and I are currently staying with another sister here in the area, which is a blessing! We have a long road ahead of us, we are so very grateful for all prayers! Please keep in touch, I hope all is well with you! I wish I could update my prayers request thread but I can never figure out how to get everything typed and then reply to all...by the time I get the message half way typed something comes up like a phone call or appointment or worse she suffers another TIA ( mini-stroke). But I am glad I was able to get this easy reply out to you. Feel free to update any Freeper you know that is aware of our situation, I am so touched by the number of prayers I was notified of.

I’m afraid I’m in the same boat as “lilyramone” as I do not know how to REPLY ALL to thank everyone for their prayers so please consider this a THANK YOU to everyone from lilyramone. She freepmailed again and Sophia appeared to have another stroke so they could have been headed back to the ER. I will keep everyone updated on this thread. Again thank you so much for the prayers for Sophia and her family.
I’m sorry to hear that. Continued prayers the young lady is able to get through her ordeal and for her family, too.
