Strange, just a year ago, it was this same 'cause' that 'aggrevated' the Texas & Oklahoma multi-year drought. To quote from a 2014 Climate Central (believer site) article concerning the Texas drought;

AUSTIN, Texas — Texans learned three years ago what exceptional drought possibly aggravated by climate change looks like: 4 million charred acres of land, thousands of burned homes and water supply reservoirs dry or draining fast.

So what is it, Science Guy? The problem is that we still do not know enough and the advocates make FOOLS OF THEMSELVES by claiming everything BAD is caused by Climate change. Models do not match actual conditions, climate is confused for weather and vice-versa, yet we citizens are told it is settled science, we need to pay for carbon reduction and increased regulations and let the superior beings of the left continue to lead us by our noses!

Well he is the “Science guy” and I’m just an ignorant redneck who believes boys and girls are different because of a tiny noseeum called an X or Y Chromosome.

Reminds me of what they said about Charlie Chaplain:

"Charlie's problem is that he thinks--he thinks."

Is this that dork with a degree in mechanical engineering? Anyone that went to engineering school will likely recall them as often being the dimmer bulbs there.

Raindrops form around motes of solid matter.
How many motes are created with each
volcanic burp, release of matter, and major
eruption?

Man does not create volcanos, the Earth does,
nor does Man control them!

So weather = climate now?

Funny how when you point out how it is that the Earth is supposed to be warming when it was @ss cold last winter, those pinheads kept screaming that weather doesn’t equal climate, and that your extreme cold does not mean that the Earth isn’t getting hotter.

But they are perfectly fine picking out any normal weather occurrence and just proclaiming it to be proof of their wacky fantasy.

What exactly are his scientific credentials, anyway?

I get him. He gave the commencement address at Rutgers and compared global warming to WWII.

The oncoming trouble is Climate Change: It is going to affect you all in the same way the Second World War consumed people of my parents’ generation. They rose to the challenge, and so will you. They came to be called The Greatest Generation. I want you all to preserve our world in the face of Climate Change and carry on as The Next Great Generation.

It wasn't a very good speech, but you can see he's a baby boomer with generational envy. He missed out on WWII and sees climate change as his big chance to matter.

Plus, the Mr. Science Guy gig is over, so what's he going to do now? How's he going to get back in the limelight?

and the drought that is now ended by the rains the last 2 years was also caused by global warming. And whenever it snows in Texas this winter, that too will be caused by global warming. The only thing that won’t be blamed by Nye on global warming is Hillary’s destroying the e-mails on her private state department server.

Isn’t it interesting that globull warming only does bad things? It is never responsible for kids playing on a bright sunny day, or reduced heating costs, or anyone surviving in the wilds because the temperature was milder.

But every single negative weather event is caused by that damn globull warming. God must really be mad at us, because prior to the late industrial age we (apparently) resided in a meteorological Garden of Eden. Never before was there a hurricane, tornado, or even a torrential rain storm.

Bunkum. It s called Spring rains!
I herd about the BIG ONE on the White River back in 1948.
The first I remember was 1957 when the Arkansas river at Tulsa flooded.
Massive storms in 1962, before everything turned dry.
Then the NW Arkansas flood of 1964.
Massive rains from March-April-May-June in Tulsa, back in 1973. The Neosho River at Chouteau was out of it’s banks.
Then there was the 1974 flood in NW Arkansas.

Then the Tulsa flood in 1976, and 1984. Joe and Mingo creek were always flooding, and when they were not, then Bird Creek at Sperry was out of it’s banks. Did I mention Deep Fork constantly flooding?

Too many floods between to remember, but if you look at some real old maps you will see small towns along all the creeks that are no longer there because they were washed away.
Then five years ago there was massive flooding in Oklahoma again.
And we had an eleven inch rain in April back four years ago.

And there have been massive floods on the Mississippi since before 1922.

Flooding in not caused by glo-bull warming or “climate change”.

Bill Nye is grasping at straws trying to salvage his “climate change” nonsense.

What an annoying tool. Please shut up, you irrelevant hack, wannabe nerd. I’ll give him credit on one thing though. He’s the only phony on this issue who has gone directly on-the-record as saying the solution is to punish wealthy companies and countries via a carbon tax. It’s an insane demand, of course, but at least he’s not mincing words when it comes to the real intention of these climate alarmists.

Sure. On that shaky supposition let us simply re-organize the world economy seizing as much private wealth & individual liberty along the way. Way to go Bill.

Bill Nye is an idiot.

But I’m wondering if Texas did something to anger the good Lord. They’ve been hit with droughts and now this. I don’t know what it would be.
