Game of Thrones rarely fails to shock, filled as it is with atrocity porn. However, the brutal rape of Sansa Stark at the hands of the psychotic Ramsey Bolton at the end of Sundays episode seems to have crossed the line for many people. It is not like people havent been raped and worse before. Remember the Red Wedding, the beheading of Eddard Stark, and the castration and torture of Theon Greyjoy. But, Sansa is an innocent girl, though she has been getting progressively less naïve as the series has proceeded.

Rapes of this violent nature are occurring right now in ISIS controlled areas.
Libtards cannot even make the obvious association.
I've never seen it, lot of sex? Necrophilia?
LOL
My approach to this seeming conundrum was verified when an issue of the Tracinski letter alerted it's readers to just what was going on with the show. I have other, better, more productive and satisfying ways of utilizing my entertainment time (and dollars) than with crap like this.
The only thing Martin has in common with Tolkien is the way he presents his name (George R. R. Martin).
Other than that, there is no similarity whatsoever.

Turn off the Satanic TV in your home. Don’t lie to yourself and say it is not in large part responsible for the creation of the monsters in our society who were brought up watching depravity since they were able to sit upright. The hours spent watching evil addicts the soul to evil.
“Whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good reputation, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy think about these things.” “ (Philippians 4:8)
Nothing was shown, only implied. It was an arranged, politically convenient marriage between two people with no real affection for each other. What’s so shocking about it?
She doesn't have a whole lot of good choices, but she did consent to the marriage.
Besides, are these people saying they would be happier if Ramsey turned out to be a hopeless romantic and sensitive lover?
They combined Gendry with Edric Storm in the TV show.
Now they’ve combined Sansa with Jeyne Poole, who was raped by Ramsey after the marriage, before being rescued by Theon.
Brutal? Maybe, but not graphic. It all takes place off camera.
for those that did not watch the episode...
the female in question consented to marry and indeed was married. the person she married is quite despised and the scene in question was held in their bed chambers on their wedding night. the man made his intentions to consummate the marriage quite roughly known to sansa. she consented and she was then ‘done in’ (which was pretty much what happened with drogo and daenerys in the first season)
this was sansa’s second marriage, but her first husband would not consummate the union unless she allowed it. she never did (before she ran off after being an unwitting accomplice in the killing of the king).
the marriage itself is invalid, as she is still wed to tyrion ... but that doesn’t seem to matter to anyone involved
Sorry, can’t turn off the “Satanic” TV. I’ll miss The Walking Dead, Bates Motel, and TURN: Washington’s Spies.
Oh, and Impractical Jokers.
Indeed. It's HBO - don't like it? Don't pay for it.
I thought the scene was powerful as you didn't actually see it except in the grief stricken expression of Theon, who was forced to watch. Will Theon do the right thing or will he continue to be Ramsey's slave? This viewer is looking forward to the drama.
For the more sensitive viewers, I think the Hallmark channel is still out there somewhere. In fact, it's not like there aren't hundreds of other channels. There is also an off switch.
boobs for no purpose.
How wrong can someone get?
Boobs are dual purpose devices.
Three purpose. The two you were thinking, plus, making really neat motorboat sounds. BR-BR-BR-BR-BR-BR-BR-BR-BR-BR-BR-BR-BR-BR-BR-BR-BR-BR-BR-BR-BR-BR-BR-BR-BR-BR-BR-BR-BR-BR-BR-BR-BR
Be careful with those, you could poke your eye out!
Neither can I.
Every time I do, it just turns itself back on.
(cue 'The Omen' theme music)
I’m forking the sign of the Evil Eye at you!
Fork! Fork!
Every time I do, it just turns itself back on.
And the best part was him telling us the next day about the bizarre way his TV was acting.
It has a little logo on the bottom:
