Arabic Immersion Magnet School Struggles for Arabic Teachers
Stop the Magnet ^ | May 9,2015 | Liz Theiss

Well thank goodness for the Qatar Foundation International in reaching half way across the globe to get this Arabic Immersion Magnet school staffed and financed for the 2015 rollout! As you can see for yourself via e-mail communications the 75K strong Arabic Community in HOUSTON was not quite enough after all. Principal Kate Adams pushed for every immigration and certification loophole in concert with the HISD Specialist Team to bring in the Arabic Speaking crew. MONOLINGUAL AMERICANS in the community need not apply, nay, not even for PE teacher. Your tax dollars are accepted though. Scroll down to view the correspondence and see more below in the attachments.

For English speakers, Arabic is a tough language to learn.

Best bet is to hire some native arabic speaking terrorists from Iraq or Syria. Or maybe certain parts of Libya.

"Arabic Immersion Magnet School..."

Why the hell would anyone want to learn Arabic? You could count the number of books written in that language in any given year on one hand. And that would be a good year.

To read the koran and socialize with terrorists.

This is completely expected given our immigration policies.

True. Arabic speaking *teachers* are likely crossing over, at our southern border, as I type.

Prefer to learn Chinese as it is a language of the future not a language of the past.

The last thing we need in Houston is “Arab immersion schools.” What is wrong with people?

What we need are AMERICAN immersion schools...
English only, civics, american history and the
three Rs. I used to think I got a poor education
in the 50s but now it seems enlightened.

For English speakers, Arabic is a tough language to learn.

It is about the same level of difficulty as Hebrew, and easier than the Oriental languages that rely on tonal differences or character memorization.

If you wanted Arabs, why not the Arab/Christian/Aramaic refugees wanting to escape the Islamic violence in the Middle East?

The school need not know they are Christians until after being hired....that is, if they can get past Obama’s INS...
