U of Michigan Student Called Racist, Removed from Staff for Asking what Acronym Meant

A University of Michigan student was removed from the school’s Residence Staff for asking what an acronym meant and was called “racist” for laughing at a subsequent joke.
The student, identified by the school’s newspaper only as “Chris,” was having a text conversation with other Resident Staff members over the internet. At one point he noticed that one member, who happened to be an African American woman, changed her handle to “Markley’s BBW.”
Mary Markley Hall is a residence hall at the university.
Chris subsequently asked, “What does BBW stand for?” to which another staff member responded, “bad baby walrus,” which Chris laughed at.
He has now been removed from the staff and called “racist” for the incident in question. The college claimed they removed him because of a “class requirement technicality,” but the problem had been resolved over a month before the disciplinary action.
Further, despite the college’s claim that it was because of a technicality, they specifically referenced the incident in question, and advised the student that he needs to know “how to better manage your involvements and to hold yourself accountable for your actions.”

This story sounds like something that would happen in the early days of communist china, or during the khmer rouge takeover of Cambodia. Laughing at a joke?... off to the killing fields with you. The left are psychopathic. They’d send ‘straights’ and conservatives to their deaths in a heartbeat.

Does this have some deeper meaning only Michigan students are supposed to know? Silly name that has nothing to do with race, at least not on the surface.
