Obama Winning War on Suburbs- US Apartment Construction Soars, Home Ownership Tanks to 20-Yr Low

Covert scheme to cram us all into socialist cities and
'compact' America along Euro lines moving along briskly...

Our disingenuous, hyper-left president's myriad hidden agendas are hard to keep track of sometimes, but one that caught my eye a couple years back was betrayed in a 2012 book by Stanley Kurtz: Obama aims to destroy the famed American suburban lifestyle, cram us all into tight city neighborhoods, spike the price of gas/taxes, put us in 30-mi-range electric cars, etc. The idea is to end urban sprawl while mixing cities and suburbs into one tighter, mediocre mix. Like court-ordered bussing destroyed schools for all, this would destroy suburbs- for all:

One approach is to force suburban residents into densely packed cities by blocking development on the outskirts of metropolitan areas, and by discouraging driving with a blizzard of taxes, fees, and regulations.

Step two is to move the poor out of cities by imposing low-income-housing quotas on development in middle-class suburbs.

Step three is to export the controversial 'regional tax-base sharing' scheme currently in place in the Minneapolis–St. Paul area to the rest of the country. Under this program, a portion of suburban tax money flows into a common regional pot, which is then effectively redistributed to urban, and a few less well-off 'inner-ring suburban, municipalities.

Now we have news that both the young and those losing their homes to the bank are renting instead of buying -vacancy rates are very low- and they can't even construct apartments fast enough in this country.

Meanwhile, home-ownership-rates have tanked, now at 63.9% -a 20-year-low- and still dropping...

Better to have all the peons in one place -with no real estate equity- so as to control them easier, keep them dependent on the government teat -watch everything closely- and inflict socialist paradise upon them.

Like most of Obama's radical, undisclosed schemes, this one is progressing swimmingly... with seemingly no resistance to any of it from the guys that are supposed to be on our side.

Does anybody but far-left freaks actually want this?

What Obama is trying to do is prevent “White flight”. He wants to force all white people to stay in the cities so that they will pay ALL the taxes to support the welfare bums who would not able to survive otherwise.

That’s what this is all about.

If he can’t do move us physically, he at least wants to expand tax bases into wider areas so as to mix ghetto and suburb for school funding, etc

They do that already in lib havens like MN, as i understand it

The sheep are easier to control when rounded up into a herd, inside a corral.

People are easier to control the the city where they can be made dependent on the government for their water, food, transportation, etc. There is no slave like the one who not only does not think he is a slave, but thanks his master (the state) for providing for him (section 8, food stamps, government transportation, etc)

Right, if you’ve got real estate equity, any capability to live off the land, heat your home with wood, hunt, etc... you’re a threat to this vile regime

Too bound to be uppity and independent minded, resistant to the guiding hand of the state

Carlyle started buying trailer parks last year.

I read yesterday that syndicates are scooping them up nationwide.

The smart money knows where the future of the US is heading.

The left has seen the red/blue county maps just like we have. Heavy population density produces a form of mass hysteria conducive to socialist indoctrination... Urbanization is the key to preventing those ‘hicks’ out in suburbia from teaching their kids to vote for conservatives.

The Soviet Union used to control all of the water, heat and electricity for every building in each city from one central location. This allowed them to shut off these items for any area down to specific buildings if they were not properly obedient. The heat was especially effective since it is always cold in those places.

I was in Moscow 1998, staying at a Russian apartment.

The hot water only ran from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM and from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

It was the same later that year when I stayed in a Russian hotel.

Still better than Brazil, where there is no hot water at all anywhere. The showers are heated by electric units on the showerhead.

Do they mention student loan debt? It is hard to get to suburbia with a trillion dollar monkey on you back. Plus the cities are safer now.

However, the average millenial moves to the burbs once they figure the public school situation bad for their children.

From my friend, Dr. Christina Jeffrey. If this audio (at the link below) doesn’t SCARE THE DAYLIGHTS OUT OF YOU, YOU’RE EITHER NOT PAYING ATTENTION OR HATE AMERICA — THE IDEA — AS MUCH AS OBAMA DOES!
Dick
This audio ia the first I heard before learning that refugee resettlement in Spartanburg is a two-year old program: A local conservative talk show host named Sue Payne was allowed to listen in on an Obama administration refugee strategy conference call (you know, there are patriots everywhere), and she taped it and played it for Mark Levine on his radio show - eye opening!

SINGLE-FAMILY NEW HOME SALES UP YEAR-OVER-YEAR IN JANUARY
Sales of new single-family houses in January were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 481,000, according to estimates released today by the U.S. Census Bureau. This is 0.2% below the revised December rate of 482,000, but is 5.3 percent above the January 2014 estimate of 457,000. Metrostudy’s Brad Hunter breaks down sales expectations for 2015.
