New York Times via InfinityLaughs.com ^ | 2007-2013

#1 North Auburn Gresham Chicago, IL

Chicago, Illinois has a murder rate that seems to be increasing yearly and a major reason is because of the crime that happens in the North Auburn Gresham neighborhood. This neighborhood which occupies the 60620 zip code has a violent crime rate of 73.5 per 1,000 residents. The chances of becoming a victim in this section are 1 in 14, which is actually on the low side for many of Chicago's rougher areas. The entire south side of Chicago seems to be an evil playground that won't stop its madness until the whole city is engulfed in violence.

#2 Northeast Auburn Gresham Chicago, IL

The neighborhood of Northeast Auburn Gresham in Chicago is by far one of the most dangerous places in America. The zip code of 60620 in Illinois has a violent crime rate of 116.56 per 1000 people. There is a 1 in 9 chance that you will become a victim in this neighborhood. This is another prime example of why the murder and crime rates are so high in this major American city.

I know it PC incorrect to say it, but dare I say demographic composition might be a factor in all of the above mentioned neighborhoods?

I took the wrong way coming back from Indiana one trip the browning hi power was in my lap.

At three in the morning I couldn’t believe all the people standing on the street corners.

Demographics correlate to rates of marriage,
which is actually the deciding factor when all else is normalized out of the equation,
for all poverty and social problems.

Old rundown housing. They are food deserts per Michelle Obama criteria. Businesses have largely abandoned these areas. Many people there are grappling with poverty.

I’m sure there are other common characteristics as well.

There are reports Obama is going to force middle class and above areas to take in poor people. Statistics like this that I think will lead to a big revolt that made the protests around school busing child’s play.

These areas have lots of criminals preying on people. They have little fear of being caught and put away for crimes.

I get it, but the article is from 2013 and the picture of Harlem looks like its from the 90’s or even the 80’s.

There is anecdotal evidence that formerly nice neighborhoods start to go ghetto, when too many Section 8 residents are planted there.

I remember there was a study about how the ghetto moving out of central Memphis destroyed the suburbs thanks to Section 8.
