Maybe the truth is that Jeb Bush really doesn’t want to run; after all he’s acting that way

Most of the time politics is a game played on several layers and to paraphrase the great line from the movie Chinatown, nobody really knows what goes on in politics which brings us to Jeb Bush.

As the younger, better looking and more “conservative” son in the Bush family Jeb has been pushed toward a run at the presidency. The talk started early in his tenure as Florida’s governor. Conservatives that never warmed to George W. Bush’s “compassionate conservatism” longed for the real thing. The conservative blogosphere asked if we didn’t elect the wrong Bush.

Now we are approaching 2016 and Jeb Bush is in the spotlight and a media favorite because he would be so easy to beat. Those who even casually watch politics know that if by some miracle Karl Rove arranged Jeb’s nomination his presence on the GOP’s ticket would cause conservatives to stay home in numbers that would make their participation in 2012 look downright impressive.

Maybe it is time to lift the veil from our own eyes and see what this man has been showing us; “sometimes a banana is just a banana” as the old line goes.

With the exception of Rush Limbaugh, the people who get paid to comment on politics aren’t being honest about Jeb. At some level they have to know that he is doing everything possible to insure that he doesn’t get the nomination from the putatively conservative Republican Party.

Now we have to ask ourselves if anyone who actually wanted to be a Republican candidate for president in 2016 would support the causes Jeb Bush supports.

At first Jeb may have been sincerely wrong about the value of common core; yet in the face of mounting evidence that it is a...

Nah.

He is acting like Daddy did against Clinton. Daddy thought, being the incumbent, he didn’t even have to campaign against that upstart hillbilly from Arkansas.

Jeb thinks he is the next annointed — it is his turn, so why should he have to actually run for the nomination?

The RNC has almost perfected nominating a Democrat in an R jersey designated loser. Blue states early, open primaries in red states, nomination sewed up by March before many even get to vote. He doesn’t need conservatives to be nominated and he doesn’t care if he loses the general without them, just like the previous two designated losers.

The entire exercise is to prevent us from electing a President who would stop the cheap labor importation/invasion they like to confuse with immigration.

It has appeared to me, over the last couple election cycles, Republicans are trying to construct a base from the middle. They disavow, and openly criticize their own base, and of course criticize the extreme left. I don’t know if this is even possible, but look at the way Republicans use the term tea party to scare voters. I think they think if they can successfully marginalize the base of both parties, they will be the recipients of support from everyone who claims to be moderate. I think Bush is either an increment, or is trying to test the hypothesis.

I am probably missing a lot of facts that blow my thinking out of the water, but this has been in the back of my mind for a while.

He really can’t win. When Rand Paul asks him in a debate if he agreed with his brother’s decision then and now to invade and remain in Iraq, the convoluted answer will turn off voters and define him as unelectable. The American people are extremely bitter over the human and material sacrifices they have made in the Mideast and do not see how their well being or security was enhanced. They simply will not elect Jeb Bush and if the Republicans have any sense, they won’t nominate him.

Jeb is a smart man with a sense of entitlement, which leads to a belief that he can master adverse circumstances and take the Presidency as if it were a prize of which he is uniquely deserving. Jeb thinks that his family name and the largest war chest will lead to the nomination, and that he will win the general election because the country wants a change. He likely believes that conservatives will be willing to be pacified because they will have no place to go.

Wake up folks! Presidential campaigns are nothing more than theatrics orchestrated by the ruling elite establishment in order to fool the people to keep thinking they have a voice in how and who governs the US. The final presidential candidates are already owned so the elite can carry on their ruse and get what they want no matter what. There are reports out there how our voting system is wrought with fraud and besides, if the people’s vote actually meant something, the ruling elite establishment would disallow it.

Most of the southern (red) states have petitioned the RNC to get their primaries changed to early March.

I have not heard any results of that.

In my state, the GOP primary is so late in the spring that the nominee has already been determined weeks earlier. It was that way in 2008 and 2012.

Yogafist you are unfortunately making an incorrect assumption that many also make, to wit: that the GOPe actually wants to win the presidency; they don't...they are cut from the same 'one-worlder' cloth as the criminal democrats; they are out to end America as we know it, that is, as a constitutional republic. What do they have in mind to replace it? Look south, toward Mexico.

How can they say that Jeb is better looking and more conservative than George W? Jeb has that big fat face and seems to me to be a lot more liberal.

Jeb is merely raising tens of millions from his Chamber of Commerce, and American based multinational corporate whores so that he can hand it over to the REAL candidate of choice when the time is right.

Wrong party.

Dems don’t do the ‘it is my turn’ thing. The media will, but they are sycophants for any Dem who wins.
