Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) on Thursday said Senate Republicans should allow a vote on Loretta Lynch, President Obama's nominee for attorney general.
I hope that they get to a point I think that presidents have a right to pick their team in general, said Bush, a potential 2016 GOP contender, at a town hall event in Concord, N.H. Someone who is supportive of the presidents policies, whether you agree with them or not, there should be some deference to the executive. This should not always be partisan.
Bush swiped at the current attorney general, Eric Holder, saying he had politicized the office and created distrust by carrying out the presidents political agenda.
There should be humbleness inside the Department of Justice, Bush said to a big round of applause.
Lynch, he said, would bring a different demeanor to the office.
The longer it takes to confirm her, the longer Eric Holder stays attorney general. Look at it that way, Bush said.
Democrats are fuming that Lynchs nomination has gone months without a full confirmation hearing.
Republican leaders have said theyll move Lynchs nomination along once the Senate passes a bill to prevent human trafficking. But that measure has been stalled by Democrats over anti-abortion language in the bill.
Lynch has universal support from Democrats in the Senate but would face a close confirmation vote. A whip list compiled by The Hill shows that she could count on the support of only five Republicans, enough to get her confirmed by one vote.
the delusional Bushes.
I really thought Jeb might have been the best of them, but it appears he might be the worst.
Some FReeper (I wish I could remember who it was) posted a similar observation quite a while back, and since that time I have kept it in mind when observing "all things Bush." At this point in time, I believe the family power/wealth via influence peddling is the only "principle" they will never abandon, with everything else being disposable when no longer necessary.
John Ellis Bush strikes me as simply more of the same, only a bit more blatant and a bit less personally engaging than other members of the Firm.

“Jeb Bush: AG nominee Lynch deserves a vote”
Typical decision by a Bush. Instead he should be encouraging pubbie senators to vote against the Holder clone. Her nomination will only continue the most corrupt DOJ in American history.
makes little sense.
Rub your base against the grain on every level then ask for me to vote for your sorry non=conservative ass?
There is NO such thing as a conservative Bush.
They will not again get a vote from me.
Which is yet ANOTHER reason that I will never vote for Jeb.
The Jebster has this bespectacled arrogance about him....Dubya & George Sr. at least seemed likeable.
What made the Kennedys so dangerous to democracy was not their brilliance but their sheer numbers. We’re done with dynasties!
For once mitch mcconnel has grown a set, and is sticking by his word.
Never thought I'd see the day:)
Act of Love: Jeb Bush Pushes Republicans to Cave to Obama Executive Amnesty, Approve Loretta Lynch
Stfu jeb.
Shut up Jeb! Go away Jeb! If you win the nomination, i’m voting for Hillary.
Jeb, don’t count on my vote now.
