I have seen no “evidence” thet Slager had taser barbs anywhere on his person and it is mentioned no where in the reports that have been released.
So yeah I’d call that speculation.

From what I saw on ranges in the past, it’s surprising that Slager managed to hit him. But maybe the tunnel vision from fear wasn’t there, with Scott’s back so far away and all.

His rap sheet leads me to speculate that drugs MIGHT/COULD have been involved. Toxicology tests will be relevant. Will wait to see what they are.

Scott didn’t have to have a weapon to be considered dangerous. Keep in mind that the law says an officer must see the perp as a danger to himself or “others” in order to justifiably shoot him as he flees. The wording is from the 1985 SCOTUS ruling in the Tennessee v. Garner case that narrowed the so-called fleeing felon rule. You can look it up. What it means is that if you have a suspect who has committed a felony — like assaulting a police officer — and is dangerous, you can shoot him as he flees in order to keep him from endangering other people. He doesn’t need a gun or a tazer to enter a home or business and seriously hurt someone.

I wait before jumping to conclusions. I don’t cherry pick that little bit which suits my agenda. I wish you had a more open mind, one willing to wait for all the evidence to be presented.

If he is hooked to or tangled in the taser wires as the video seems to suggest, would that perhaps explain him moving the taser?

I think it was murder because a reasonable bystander was in fear of being found filming it for his own life.
Nonsense, I’ve said I’ll bet actual money etc on certain things about this case, particularly the outcome, but I never said the theory in the op was anything but that, theory. And yes, I belittle stupidity at every opportunity.
Indeed, there are two distinct events. One event was the struggler for the Taser. The other complete separate one was the shooting. It was no more about a struggling for a taser at that point, but about some one condemned to death for running away.
