If Fox News tries to sell Ted Cruz as the conservative Barack Obama, are they damning him or helping him?
There are so many laugh-out-loud moments in this clip it's hard to know where to begin. Dorothy Rabinowitz hails Cruz as a magnificent orator, hard-liner on foreign policy, and one who can inspire the conservative base to action. But overall, this is an on-air attempt to damn Cruz with faint praise, just as they did in an editorial earlier this week.
It's clear both from the WSJ editorial and Peggy Noonan's pile-on the next day that Cruz is hardly their candidate of choice.
Still, Cruz' 2016 bid offers them the opportunity to criticize President Obama while marginalizing Cruz. One of the moments that stands out for me in this clip is the one where they compare Cruz' stint as Solicitor General of Texas to Obama's ten years as a State Senator. Panelist Dan Henniger sneers that Cruz is more impressive because he had "more responsibility" as Solicitor General than Barack Obama did as "community organizer and state Senator," but cedes the point that Cruz is so disliked he can't get anything done.
In the end, the comparison fails for a simple reason. Cruz is a wacko bird and Obama isn't.
Misleading headline. This was simply a one panel discussion.
I look at it this way: bozo obama was only a senator and he got everything done he wanted to one way or another come hell or high water. What if Cruz is JUST as successful?

And that's a good thing.
"Wacko-birddom" is in the eye of the beholder and you have to bring some kind of evidence to support it. Just saying Cruz is a Wacko bird and Obama isn't (or vice versa) and leaving it at that doesn't contribute at all anything to the debate.

I am almost willing to bet if you took a Poll of FNC talking heads, the winner would be Jeb Bush.
We may not see much of it now, but IMO, down the road it will become increasingly evident; at which time you will need only follow the money.
Obama has been very ideological and very effective at moving the country to the far left.

Hey, at least the title is 100% accurate. The funny thing is the more they rail against Ted the more people start looking at him positively. Like the bird with the hacksaw blade for a bill at the jail house barred windows, don’t scare them away. LOL
Two nights in a row BOR foghorn claimed Cruizing eligible because mother a U.S. citizen, yes Ted is also a U.S. citizen, even had dual citizenship, but NOT a NBC, exactly same as Hussein who stole the W.H. with help of the Saudis where kissed the King’s hand. Stupid Americans and the fourth column thinks that a NBC is someone born without a knife at Caesarian (Kejsersnit), but born with help of doctor/midwife. I sent the foghorn email correcting him and a link to Historian David Ramsey from 1776. Last night another foghorn on Bret Bair’s program with Wallace, Cameron said Ted NOT eligible, hmmm !!!
