Is Ted Cruz able to be POTUS because his father isn't a US born Citizen

Posted on 03/26/2015 3:43:21 AM PDT by Yorlik803

I am tired of liberals saying Cruz isn't eligible to be president because of his father. US citizenship is passed thru the mother, correct? How can these dirt bags who backed Obama, who claimed on numerous forms he is a citizen of Kenya and has mis-matched SSN numbers get all high and mighty on Cruz?

This is a divisive subject that has been settled by the site owner.

I’ve been posting on internet sites since before FR was available. I’ve never seen that card played before. I did not know a site owner could “settle” a subject, beyond the “they are the owner, they can do whatever they want” thingee.

Yep. He said that this issue wasn't up for debate any more than basic socialism.

Doesn't matter what I see elsewhere, I'm going to respect the site owner and not bring up divisive subjects where they are settled on the site, and there are places where that can be argued.

Lots of long-termers got the zot for ignoring him.

The reason I brought it up is to gather more ammo to use. The people here has always been a great source of info. I have been calleda racist and bigot for questioning Obama’s citizenship. Now I can turn it around on them and call them the same. Sorry if this subject has been beat more than a red headed step child but every time a new weapon is found.

The people here has always been a great source of info.

You have to watch the info, and check it out, because there is a LOT of misinfo out there. Many here don't realize that over 30 States now have voter ID law that has withstood the challenge of the courts, and is in full effect. To hear some freepers, you would think that voter ID laws didn't exist in the US. Some States that were under the restraining order, like Texas, have had their law struck down by fed courts, but 30 other states haven't.

So Trust, but verify, and make sure the data that is out there is correct. Bad data doesn't help anyone.

Because his election will be the end of their rein of terror, he scares the bejesus out of them.

They also will be called to stand for their treason...

the founders used the term ‘natural born citizen’ for the position of president due to their desire to insure the person would not have split allegiances, at least by birth. they also wanted to make sure no future king of england could become president of the US. (this is another reason why Americans weren’t supposed to have dual citizenships)

if you use logic, you quickly realize that the only way for someone to satisfy the ‘future king of england’ test would be for the parents to both be citizens of the US (as they would have been required to renounce any other citizenships) and the child to be born on the soil.

most Americans are natural born citizens and do not understand the differences. some people believe being born at all means you were naturally born. it’s ludicrous.

meanwhile, the dems set an obvious trap and hope you walk right into it. they’ll complain about tcruz’s policies and how he’s so opposite their mindset... chum for the right. the right will get all excited... and most likely allow him to win the primary, thinking if 0bama did it (nominate an ineligible candidate), so can they. and just after the primaries, ewarren (as hrclinton will be ducking prison time) will file an injunction to stop tcruz on the grounds he’s not eligible. you see, the left has the bawls to push a legal fight since they have the backing of the press. the right, does not. it will then go to the supreme court which will rule anyone born on foreign soil is obviously not eligible (leaving open the 2 citizen parent question, thereby leaving 0bama untouched).

then... 2 months before the election... the right will be without a candidate. floundering, they will appoint someone else, but the momentum will be lost. allowing the left to sail their candidate to victory.

and this is how ewarren wins 2016

1. naturalized - emigrant
2. natural born - born on the soil of 2 citizen parents
3. native born

native born:
- born on the soil to 1 citizen parent
- not born on the soil of 2 citizen parents
- not born on the soil of 1 citizen parent that spent 5 yrs over 14 in US

if not born on the soil to 1 citizen parent 18 years or younger, the child’s citizenship would come from the other parent and the location of birth
