Attendance at that college is voluntary, living in America isn't.

I agree. I wouldn’t stand for being forced to attend anything. This is supposed to be a Conservative University. That alone would make me withdraw or not even sign up in the first place.

Then you probably wouldn’t be attending their university.
Most Christian colleges have a mandatory attendance requirement for their services. It’s how they help solidify the Christian foundation.

It’s a private university. You don’t have to attend. Their rules require attendance at a 3 time a week convocation. If you agree to go to that school, then you agree to those rules. If not, don’t go there.

Nobody I mean NO BODY tells me to attend ANYTHING or it wont be attended and you will NEVER get money from me as a penalty for not doing so.It's a private college; don't go there. The joys of the free market!

I tend to agree. As a private university, they of course have the right to make these events mandatory. But, if they are mandatory, they should not be opening them up to be used as political rallies.
To: iowacornman
C’mon.
If you enroll at a college, there are seminars and all kinds of one-off classes that you have to take. For example, if people major in music, they’ll have to go to recitals and get someone to sign their concert programs. Freshman seminar is a 1-hour course that everyone has to take as a freshman.
There may be any number of things to complain about, but a requirement that’s set as part of a university schedule is just silly.
