I suspect a ‘deal’ unutterably ruinous to Israel was in the works AND was so close to being inked that Bibi was compelled to step up to the plate.
Israel dodged a bullet and Americans may never know how close we came to being sold down the river, OURSELVES!

And doing his best to trade American Jews for Mideast Moslems, at least in terms of prominence in the US population and influence.
Obama wants to trade a democratic and free country that’s been a staunch ally for a Islamic theocracy that’s always chanted “Death to America.” How unsurprising that the man who sat in church that preached “G*d damn America” is in bed with the mad mullahs of Iran.

Unfortunately I’m not sure Israel did dodge a bullet. I doubt the speech will change the path we are on at all. The day will come when rockets will fall on Israel and when Israel starts to react will be told they do so at the risk of being completely destroyed by Iranian nukes.
Yup! Anything is possible.
That is truer now than ever, since the most powerful national entity in the known universe has made itself irrelevant and placed itself outside the diplomatic process!
With the US occupying a ‘bystander’ status, anything can happen.
Not sure there is much one can add to this. America has been blessed because of the positive relationship with Israel……and if they give that up, they will be on the receiving end of a curse.
