The good thing about a book like Ghettoside: A True Story of Murder in America is that it's real reportage about murder in the African American ghetto; it's not just narrative from the usual social justice warriors.
Author Leovy's angle is that routine murder in African American ghettos is invisible, in the sense that individual murders don't get a write-up in the paper. So she decided to do something about it, The Homicide Report, a blog that documents each and every murder in LA.
Each murder, routine as it is, devastates a family, but the cops only arrest a suspect in about 40 percent of the murders. To add insult to injury, the cops compensate by harassing young men on the street with arrests for minor infractions.
Of course, everybody knows “who dunnit” because the perpetrators typically come around to the victim's home and taunt the grieving family.
Why would they do that? Because the gang-bangers need to intimidate potential witnesses. Thus, everybody knows who did it, but nobody is willing to testify. Here's the scoop, buried in the middle of the Fresh Air interview:
[Leovy:] I spoke to a mother, once, in South Bureau - black woman - her son had just been murdered. I think this was maybe a couple of days after the murder. I had gone to her door. And it was one of these cases where the police just had no witnesses. The case wasn't going anywhere. The mother told me that since the murder, the killers, who she knew, who were, I think, the gang members who lived on her street, had been knocking on her door and taunting her and laughing at her - her grief.

Because it doesn’t advance their political agenda?
cuz there’s NO MONEY IN IT.
Because black-on-black killings make blacks look bad, which liberals refuse to do. It’s liberals who produce commercials, movies and TV shows where all blacks are beautiful, brilliant, hardworking, and always using the right product. Liberals want whites to look bad and feel guilty forever.
Because whites invented the NRA I bet.
Because they have spent their entire lives portraying whitey as an oppressor and encouraging non-whitey to commit crime, that they know no other way.
Cause brown is the new black
Because most don’t really care about blacks. Most of their fathers certainly don’t give a damn. Otherwise, they would be trying to give their children the best family life they could. They would at least pretend to care about so many of the lost souls of their own children. I don’t consider these type men to be honorable (that applies to men of all races.).

It is always the white guy who is the thief or criminal and it is always the black guy who is the tough, brave hero.
Hollywood is the same now and only a black man can say he enjoyed making a movie because he got to kill loads of whites.
Liberals just use blacks for their votes while keeping them down and many of them can’t address that blacks are committing crimes and killing each other.

The only people the leftists are interested in disarming are their political enemies i.e. white, law abiding, tax paying, likely to be conservative/republican Americans. Think about it.

I had one north easterner on vacation down here tell me white southerners are to blame for slavery etc.
When I told her about the black slave owners and a man named Anthony Johnson along with how blacks rounded up blacks to get them into slavery/ I then went on to ask her why are their neighborhoods like crap and their families are on welfare or what there is with welfare She just looked at me. She went into a little tirade and then walked off in a mood.
She actually looked like she had never heard of another viewpoint or even had heard facts about black slave owners or even how South Boston was just as bad for segregation as down here.

I’ve suspected this for a long time. Keeping the minorities fighting each other and “in their place” helps democrats get re-elected. They are scared to death of successful conservative blacks.
They do, but they have been desensitized because it happens so much.
There is nothing about Black on Black crime that is useful.
By the way, the same holds true for so-called feminism and homosexual "rights." The value to liberals isn't in their ostensible "liberation" of those groups; it is in their ability to draw dividing lines, to group people into faceless classes, and to set them at each others' throats.
That's why it's so laughable to hear a liberal speak about "unity." They are focused entirely on division, the very opposite of unity. It's also why they promote idiotic ideas like diversity, inclusion, and multi-culturalism.
It really is about the money. You right cuz.
Q: Why Don’t Liberals Care About Black-on-Black Killing?
A: Because it doesn’t fit the narrative.
Liberals don’t really care about white on black killings either. Liberals are filled with self loathing and hatred so what they really care about is fomenting hatred and creating divisions by class, race, etc.
A. Because to liberals intentions matter far more than results. They think putting blacks on welfare in gubmint ghettos gives them a carefree existence and shows them how compassionate the elitists can be.
