Axelrod was on CNN yesterday for a long interview..
"The Republicans hold a majority in BOTH Houses of Congress, and 30 state houses and governorships. Why aren't they as angry as Rudy?"
Well said. .
As a whole, the Republican Party approve of what Obama is doing. Is why
**** Axleshaft.
God bless Giuliani.
Yes, I'm finally coming to grips it truly is a Uniparty. So, now what? . .
Axelrod - an Alinsky commie to the core. And the nation fell for it in 2008. .
I wish I knew.
It is fitting that you used a metaphor that refer to black slaves.
Another reason why I don’t expect this speech to develop into a ‘draft Rudy’ campaign is his voice. Either Rudy was having a bad sinus day, (something I’m very familiar with) or he had some other minor physical problem.
Rudy’s delivery sounds strained and pushed out of the throat. Sometimes, the velocity of emotion overwhelms the throat, and the speaker lets it out as the feelings wash over him.
So he may have been riding the tidal wave of emotion that comes from finally saying- blurting out loud what you have thought about for years. Maybe it’s just the effects of age and nothing more.
The conservative press just dropped it, too ( with a few exceptions such as WorldNetDaily.) I will never trust Hannity, Rush, Beck and the rest again.
Maybe, in time, if the conservative press was threatened this will be revealed.
Lo-Info voters are not the sole province of the Democrat Party. "Republicans," by and large THINK THEY ARE "conservative."
Notice that the present pack of RINOs achieved office in most cases by delivering rather unconvincing (IMHO) "conservative" sound bites, no matter how dismal their records of shameful compliance with Obama is. The GOPe SOBs harrumph and haw their way through campaigns, and soon as they're back in DC they are high-fiving their Democrat "colleagues across the aisle" and doing their very lucrative business as usual with the Administration.
Great speech, indeed. Very forceful.
As a Presidential candidate, Giuliani has his problems. He was never pro-life, for instance. But I greatly admired the job he did as Mayor, and his pro-abortion stance didn’t matter much then, since it was the Governor and legislature who decided that question in the city, not the Mayor.
Agreed.
Think Mussolini-lite. But that's what that shiiteburger of a town needed (still does)not some namby-pamby give-away artist like the look-at-me-proudly-married-to-a-black-lesbo anus-obama-lover they have now.
Rudy took over at a NYC public safety low point when a whole lot of non-caucasian teeth needed to be in the street, as they often seem to do. He handled that through his Police Commissioner (of whom he was jealous and drove from office, but they got a '0' tolerance for any crime on the street) Hell, he even busted the Mob, for which his own daddy once broke legs! The streets were clean and quiet. Traffic was better, The garbage was picked up. The place worked. Rudy's way, or the Highway, Pal. "Foxtrot Oscar, babe, I'm running this town." Run it he did and very, very nicely, too.
However, once the town was again safe for human habitation, the Liberal elite turned on Rudy like rabid dogs. The NYT readers who run the place simply cannot stand anyone who is politically incorrect to the point that the Rev. Al Sharpton is angry. That's where this "racist" crap is coming from. Look at it this way. If 9/11 hadn't happened, New York's Jewish Liberal Elite, who detest the white working class Catholics who make NYC at least somewhat functional, would have hung Rudy in the gorilla cage at the Central Park Zoo!
O yeah. One more thing. His personal life is a mess. He dumped a nasty, but otherwise perfectly good old lady for a young politically motivated hustler chippy who wanted a better job!
Rudy for Prexy? Nah. He's not ever going to sell in Idaho. He's the kind of guy you want running your town, if you want results, and are prepared to do exactly as he says.
Rudy? Think Buddy Cianci up in Providence ... but without the charm. After Buddy got his town in shape, they threw him in jail. At least Rudy is free and gets paid for speeches!
I wish I knew the answer. From where I sit, my only recourse to peace of mind is to pray. Our Father has the final say-so about all things.
Yep, that’s it in a nutshell. I worked in lower Manhattan—Greenwich Village—for many years, starting in 1968. The city started going downhill under that idiot, John Vliet Lindsay. And by the time Rudy came into office, it was unsafe to walk in the streets just about everywhere. There were addicts lying on the sidewalks all over the place, and in the train stations, libraries, museums, etc. Our suburban friends were afraid to visit the city at all, and marveled that I dared to commute there.
Rudy cleaned it up. And, as you say, when he had done so, the Libtards turned against him and gave him none of the credit for that marvelous transformation. A great mayor for a troubled city, but NOT someone we want for President.
