Human savagery will always exist upon some pretext, but I think the current existential threat could be shattered by destroying their belief system. Prove the impotence or even nonexistance of their pagan deity by utterly destroying all of their holy sites on the same day. Dresden-ize Mecca, Medina and Dome of the Rock. If that fails, they could only hate us. Oh, wait, they already do. What are we waiting for?
