Many years ago I took Latin in high school. Translating Caesar’s Gallic Wars, we called the Latin word “peccata” as “sins.” The teacher explained that it really meant “mistakes.” Christians used the word as sins. The Romans had no word for sins; they simply made mistakes.

I’m not that surprised he lied, although it is disturbing. What bothers me more is the military personnel who knew he was lying all this time and are just now coming forward. Why have they let him get away with this for so long?

We often simply ignore the ramblings of idiots unless it’s slanderous such as Jesse MacBeth or Scott Beauchamp.
Those who were saddled with Brian Williams likely dismissed him as a self-important bore and ignored him. Warriors can’t be bothered by ass-hats.
NBC will have to get rid of Williams because NBC news must have a credible liar to spew out government propaganda.
