During a recent lecture on the nature of and threat posed by Iran, with whom President Barack Obama’s Chamberlainian negotiations continue apace, an existential question arose: Why does the West remain asleep regarding Islamic Supremacism and the doctrine on which it is based?
I posit that there are three main reasons, which also go a long way towards explaining why we are currently losing to the global jihad: (i) Progressive multiculturalism, moral relativism and materialism; (ii) Profound willful ignorance; and (iii) An inability to cope with the staggering implications of the threat we face.

GMTA....my thought was because this country’s current president is a fricking Muslim.
Everyone goes on and on about the threat of Islam, but the real threat is our own government using this as a "crisis" to remove freedom and expand it's powers - already far beyond what is constitutional - and of course raise taxes.

Funny. All three are very much on my radar, which is why I proclaimed about five years ago that Islam was to the world what Nazism was in the early 1930’s and I then changed it a few years ago to 1939.
It’s why it is so frustrating to see peoples address it the way they do. But as long as americans are heavily armed and we have europe as our canary in the coal mine, I’m not that worried.
The Establishment is incapable of granting the Islamic hordes moral agency.
In the minds of our betters, it is simply not possible that these Third World folk can conceive and execute a war.
This despite the fact that Islam itself is a doctrine of unceasing jihad.

I agree for the most part, but also include the corrupt media.
Obama refuses to even name the threat, instead he tries to say that the terrorists aren’t even Islamic. Which would come as a real surprise to the majority of Muslims.

The West is not losing to the meager challenge of Islamism. It has, for the time being, only used minimal force against it.
If and when the West gains its resolve, it will crush Islamism, and if necessary, Islam, like the dung beetles they are.
The West has a vast amount of kindness and generosity. However, when we do lose patience, we are more than capable of bringing down destruction on their heads worse than anything the Nazis did in WWII. Or Vlad Tepes, for that matter.
To preserve the lives of all but fighters is a choice. We could butcher entire countries.
To not carry out atrocities that would horrify ISIS is a choice. To not poison their water, food and air is a choice. To not spread hideous plagues amongst them, that too is our choice.
If we chose, we could raze every mosque in the world. We could burn the vast majority of Korans in dung heaps along with the Muslims we had exterminated.
But it is always OUR choice. All Muslims, everywhere, have a different choice. Theirs is to live at peace with us and each other, to discontinue their bad behavior, to quit acting like animals and embrace civility. Or they can continue on, hoping against hope that we do not lose patience with them. And destroy them utterly.
By making our choice.
Many have stated that it is not enemy without that we should fear the most.
It is the traitor within.
They can deliver us to the enemy without a fight.
It’s number 2, Willful Ignorance. Most people know and accept the danger, but they minimize it, because of the sacrifices that they would have to make to combat it. We have a sort of prosperity, we feel pretty safe in our lives, we have restaurants and parties and sporting events and our jobs to go to. Anything that upsets that is ignored. It’s the same way with the national debt: As long as we can go on eating, drinking, and “making whoopee” we will accept that a dollar is whatever the Fed says it is, and that Islam is a religion of peace that is being hijacked by extremists.
Because we deny the truth, and modify the obvious with the ridiculous, as with the above example.

Islam however has no doubts.
