Jeb Bush Sets 60 Fundraisers in Push to Freeze Out Foes 3 Jan 2015 By Jennifer G. Hickey

The 2012 presidential campaign broke nearly ever campaign finance record and the 2016 campaign likely will eclipse those figures, which is one reason why former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is preparing to set off on a 60-event fundraising tour in hopes of reaching a first-quarter fundraising goal of $100 million, reports Bloomberg News.

During a series of meetings held in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday and Wednesday, those interested in supporting Bush were asked to raise various amounts of money — $50,000, $100,000, $250,000 or $500,000 in advance of a return visit in February, a source told Bloomberg.

This is the George W. strategy in 2000, and it worked. It won’t work this time around because we have a MUCH better roster of candidates, and because he Internet provides an efficent way to reach large numbers of small donors.

People donating to Bush aren’t going to donate to Cruz anyway.

We the people will have to carry Cruz. That doesn’t mean raising more money than the RINOs because we can’t. We’ll have to raise enough for Cruz to run the ads he needs to run and make the events he needs to make.

It also means stepping up as individuals and using whatever God given talents we have to campaign for him on our own.

Jebbie seems to be a more eager candidate than GWB was in 1999.

I am unsure Cruz will run, but it looks like Huckabee is in the race again. Hard to see either of them toppling the inevitable Jebbie, especially in TX.

And the only thing Jeb won’t do is win the White House.

The way the primaries are front loaded, and the kind of money that has to be raised, it’s pretty much constructed to elect a GOPe type candidate.

Cruz won’t have a prayer. It’s setup for a big name ‘establishment’ candidate to come in with a zillion dollars and blow everyone out early, and with OPEN primaries on top of that! Why in the hell do they still have open primaries??

I don’t belong to a party, and have never voted in a primary, but I think the best person CONSERVATIVE in position to win the general election is Walker.

(no....I’m am NOT a Walker shill.... I just call’em like I see them)

I do tend to like Rand Paul, but I don’t think he’ll be able to get the money and organization. He’s also been all over the place on issues. I couldn’t tell you exactly what he stands for.

“This is the George W. strategy in 2000, and it worked.”

Bingo. I remember how Jorge tried to push everyone else out, both by fundraising and the steady drumbeat that everyone should clear the field for him because he was the one who could win.

As it was, Jorge lost the popular vote and beat a candidate made out of wood by the skin of his teeth.

I don’t care if he amasses all the money in Christendom. I wont vote for him. This is an absolute, and I do not care who he is running against.

Jeb is a liberal. Most of his donors will not support Cruz. He will only be taking money away from Romney and Christie.

I heard Laura Ingraham today spouting the “you have to vote for the republican” crap again. And she thanked all the tea partiers and libertarians who voted for the republicans in 2014. gag

Yep. These establishment dimwits, of both parties, haven’t figured out that they no longer control the narrative and a way to broadcast it.

And since November, they’ve already folded on immigration, on Obamas lawlessness, Boehner hugged Pelosi and punished those who didn’t want him as speaker, they have folded on abortion.

No Laura, ive really really learned my lesson. In fact, I will vote for the other side. I wont just be absent. Ill vote for the enemy to make the GOPe margin even worse! As I look back, McCain was a lunatic. Bush was a statist that gave us Homeland Security and TSA and prescription drugs. Romney is a white Obama who is identical to him on health care, gun control, internationalism, global warming, immigration, etc.

No, if they give me Jeb, Christie, Romney or Huck, ill do all I can to make it the worst defeat ever. No matter what dear Laura says.

I know a retired deputy sheriff who was wounded in a shoot out and is about as conservative as anyone I’ve ever known who voted for Kerry because of the Patriot Act.

Money doesn’t vote....unless the Chamber of Amnesty pays Black Democrats to vote GOPe. as they did for Thad Cochran in MS. That won’t happen with Hillary running.

Bush’s billionaire buddies can dump money on him, but he cannot win without conservative votes.

Therefore, all conservatives must speak with one voice:

“If Jeb Bush is given the nomination by the party leadership, then he will lose the election to the Democrat. So they can rig the RNC any way they want with corrupt rules, but Jeb Bush will still lose. Conservatives will not vote for him. Not Ever. No, nothing, not. So don’t waste all of our time.”

“And be sure to let his billionaire backers know that they are throwing their money down a rat hole with Jeb Bush. Spend a hundred million dollars. Spend a billion dollars. Jeb Bush will NEVER become President of the United States.”
