On Monday’s “The Daily Show,” host Jon Stewart scolded former Gov. Mike Huckabee (R-AR) for quitting his Saturday night Fox News show to take another shot at the White House as a Republican candidate.
According to Stewart, Huckabee had made a mistake and should go to back to Fox News and be a show host.
Partial transcript as follows:
STEWART: I want to talk to you. This is — the book is called “God, Guns, Grits and Gravy.” You have a show on Fox News — you had a show.
HUCKABEE: I had a show.
STEWART: How long did you have it for?
HUCKABEE: Six-and-a-half years, better than I deserved.
STEWART: And you quit…
HUCKABEE: Yes.
STEWART: …to run for president.
HUCKABEE: Well, very likely, very possible.
STEWART: Let me tell you something — go back and beg them for your job. You have made a terrible, terrible mistake. What are you doing?
HUCKABEE: See, that’s the view of the people who live in the “Bubbleville” that I talk about in this book....

I agree with you about Ted Cruz, but if forced to listen to either stewart or huckleberry, I'll just play old time rock and roll.
I think that stooge Huck has been PAID by the Adelson - Chamber of Crony Capitalists to Play the Jeb stalking horse.

Hell, hope Huckabee doesn’t come back to Fox. He along with creeps like Geraldo, Juan, Coombs et al. are what’s wrong with Fox.

I am not a big Jon Stewart fan, so it was heartening to see him say something I agree with - Huckabee, go back to your other job. Huckabee is DEAD WRONG that that opinion is NOT alive among many outside the “bubbleville” he refers to. It is very much alive, even among many in the GOP, and it is not an “anti-religious” view, it is simply that Huckabee just is too shallow and weak on too many things.
I agree. Last thing we need is another freak show full of entertainers having no intention of winning anything trying to get free publicity . Definitely Huckabee.

That is ridiculous. By your line of thinking, Sarah Palin must have been McCain’s mistress....
Mike may not appear to have much of a chance. However, he is a TRUE social/moral conservative and he WILL get the votes of social/moral conservatives like myself. I don’t care if he is not as fiscally tight as many here want, or doesn’t want to totally dismantle the federal government like many of the “anarchists” (libertarians) here want. He will do enough of those issues. Right now I want someone in office that will fight the homosexual agenda, and other moral/social evils. Get that right and the rest will fall into place.
He MUST have some chance of winning, otherwise “2ndDivisionVet” and other Mike Huckabee haters would not spend the time to post so many negative things. Obviously, they fear he will detract from the “horse” they are backing.
