(VIDEO-AT-LINK)

On Monday’s “The Daily Show,” host Jon Stewart scolded former Gov. Mike Huckabee (R-AR) for quitting his Saturday night Fox News show to take another shot at the White House as a Republican candidate.

According to Stewart, Huckabee had made a mistake and should go to back to Fox News and be a show host.

Partial transcript as follows:

STEWART: I want to talk to you. This is — the book is called “God, Guns, Grits and Gravy.” You have a show on Fox News — you had a show.

HUCKABEE: I had a show.

STEWART: How long did you have it for?

HUCKABEE: Six-and-a-half years, better than I deserved.

STEWART: And you quit…

HUCKABEE: Yes.

STEWART: …to run for president.

HUCKABEE: Well, very likely, very possible.

STEWART: Let me tell you something — go back and beg them for your job. You have made a terrible, terrible mistake. What are you doing?

HUCKABEE: See, that’s the view of the people who live in the “Bubbleville” that I talk about in this book....

Well, I have to agree with Stewart on this.

Jon Stewart? How many people watch his stupid show? 2 million? Another overrated, far left, out of touch, smug idiot. Who cares what he thinks apart from a tiny minority liberal enclave in mid-town Manhattan?

It’s Ted Cruz all the way. I just can’t stand the smug, arrogant, mediocre Jon Stewart.

I couldn’t care less what Jon Leibowitz cares about anything. But then I can say the same about Huckabee.

Yeah, Stewart is right on this one. Huckabee is fooling himself if he thinks he’s got any kind of chance with the deep field of Republicans he’ll be competing against.

Perhaps at 6 and a half years this good man had enough of Fox.

On the other hand, Stewart is correct. Huck will lose the national stage altogether in a year.

He did not quit to run for president.

He sucked on Fox and would blow as a presidential candidate

“Go back to FoxNews and beg for your job back”.

You’re correct in all your points, except that in regard to Huck’s zero chances of becoming POTUS, Stewart nailed it.

Huckleberry was the stalking horse for McCain in ‘08. I’m figuring stalking horse for Bush in ‘16.

Why Fox continues to promote this babbling snake handler remains a mystery to me.

But if he thinks the people who live outside "Bubbleville" really care about Beyoncé and Jay Z then Stewart is right, he should ask for his job back.

Is Bubbleville the tony suburb on the far end of Obamaville, with Realville a day’s drive in the opposite direction?

“Huckabee is fooling himself if he thinks he’s got any kind of chance”...........

Guess I have to agree. Huckabee is a nice man who believes and lives his religion but not presidential material.

From what little I saw him (I don’t have cable) Huckabee did a decent job on Fox. Wish he would stay there. His presence in the primaries will be 1000% negative.
