Appearing on the View yesterday, Glee star Naya Rivera raised eyebrows by saying that “showering once a day is such a white people thing.”
The comment came after co-host Nicolle Wallace said that, as the owner of dogs and the mother of a baby, she finds herself showering more and more. Sometimes, Wallace said, there would be “mud” or “pee” in her hair, so she showers, even as many as “three times a day.”
“You know, I have to say, I have a theory about showering, which is that white people shower a lot more than ethnics,” Rivera responded. She continued, “I feel like showering once a day, or everyday, is such a white people thing.”
Today, Rivera apologized for her comments.
Rivera plays Santana Lopez on the television show Glee.
Apparently she’s the one who doesn’t shower. In my experience, most blacks are obsessive about personal hygiene.
So now clean is racist?
is glee a show about dressing like a prostitute by any chance??

They do not shower that often.
They use skin lotion over time to keep the skin from appearing ashy, and when ladies get a hair do, they do not wash it for a very long time. They use pink moisturizer in lieu of washing it, and stepping into a hot shower will cause it to unstraighten.
I know for a fact that they can go as long as a month without washing their hair in order not to lose a perm.

That’s my experience too. Blacks may not wash their hair as frequently (and don’t have to), but they aren’t skipping showers or baths.
I thought that horrible show was cancelled already?

In the winter, if there’s no social activity, I typically go 3 or 4 days without washing. Up here in the mountains.
I don’t know if I’m “white”, no way to know what that means, I’m certainly about as Caucasian as one can be.

In CA, I knew a physician from Lebanon who NEVER washed his hair. He believed it was bad for the hair. YUK. How could he work in a hospital with that greasy hair?????

She’s only 1/4 black. And she’s definitely NOT GUILTY.
