Has America Finally Begun to Despise BOTH Parties?
Canada Free Press ^ | 12/19/14 | Jim Yardley

Anything that might change the power structure is bound to be fought by both Democrats and Republicans, using any sleazy, underhanded and destructive means that can be concocted

For many years average Americans, regardless of color, gender, national origin, religious affiliation (or lack of any religion), level of formal education or any other cultural identity have despised Democrat politicians more than Republican politicians.

Why would this be so? Largely it can be assumed that Republicans have had a much better track record of hiding their elitism than Democrats have. Professor Gruber recently provided evidence of this elitism by simply stating that those self-same average Americans are “stupid”. Kind of hard not to despise such creatures.

But, in all fairness, we should all recognize that Republican politicians are working hard to reduce the lead that Democrats hold in this arena. They might even gain the upper hand in the competition to become the most despised political party in the nation. At least it appears so.

Indeed we have.

And, given that we effectively have no voting choices (idiot-level incompetence or merely lib arts professor level incompetence), there soon will be no other choice for the population save for revolt.

Really, that will soon become the only solution, whether you believe in it or not.

I don't understand the hatred Democrat rank and file have for the Democrat Party leadership. They actually do what they say they are going to do, they fight for the convictions and are in your face. Why are devout Democrats unhappy? Are they not socialist enough? We haven't achieved a communist state yet?

I wish the Republicans were like that but in the opposite direction politically.

They should be despised. Washington has become the most corrupt place since the Roman Empire. Vote trading, millions made WHILE in office, voter fraud accepted, etc. They have made their bed and so far haven’t truly been made responsible. There is a start but after a few years in office they too will have gone native.

The leaders of the Republican Party have made it clear that they consider me their enemy.

I no longer think those leaders can be deposed by “working from within”.

I support a NEW party, even if that means the Republican Party loses the next election. Good riddance if they do.

There’s really nothing “finally” about it, except maybe the author finally noticing. It’s why the election cycle works the way it works, with midterm loses for the party of the sitting president and the White House switching between parties fairly regularly. There’s a good chunk of the country whose primary political belief is that the people in charge are idiots.

Democratic Party, the party that is and has destroyed America.

Republican Party, the party of do nothing.

Democratic Party, the party that is and has destroyed America.

Republican Party, the party of "we've got your (Democrat) back".

gdani notes: They may despise them but it does not mean they will not vote for them. Just wait until mid-2016 around here when all those same people who currently say they will never vote for RINOs, the Republican Party, etc change their tune & start calling people traitors for not voting for the GOP. In other words, just like we saw in 2012.

Yep. But in 2012, I thought "we" -- that is, gdani, those of us who refuse to vote for Republican tyranny as the price (extracted out of pure fear-mongering) of participating on the pretense of voting "against" Democrat tyranny -- I thought that "we" were the minority and that Romney would (God forbid) win.

I underestimated Free Republic's accuracy of representing the real heartbeat, of common sense moral America. They voted such that Romney lost.

If I read it correctly this time, already ... lots and lots of folks are waking up to the con game they're subscribing to. They are a quiet majority, if what I see on FR is reflective.

So very ironic to call going "third party" a "sucker's bet" because "it'll only hand it to the Democrats."

The REAL sucker's bet is voting for an amoral Republican who is virtually entirely on-board philosophically with the pro-government tyrannical Democrat agenda. Good patriotic Americans are figuring that out the fool's game of voting for either tyranny a or tyranny b.

*sigh*

Has America Finally Begun to Despise BOTH Parties?

It's impossible to grasp just how much that is true. And the cause is institutional, from the top down, and metastasizing.

A fair overview can be found in Judge Napolitano's new book, Suicide Pact : The Radical Expansion of Presidential Power and the Assault on Civil Liberties.

The role of an almost totally ignorant electorate and elected are well covered, as well as a very comprehensive historical overview and narrative of the evolution of unconstitutional Constitutional overreach without the bother of proper amendments; accepted without protest or outrage or even a whimper.

Nothing quite as blatant and arrogant as what we are currently getting from the inexperienced First racist, however.

Me too. Decades ago, without the bother of changing party registration. Still a registered Dem. But haven't voted Dem since 1964.

Party registration has become increasingly a needless bother.

The ONLY solution is repeal of the 16th Amendment.

Otherwise, Sutton's Law will always prevail.
