Social Equity Disguised As Economic Development

big brother

Ever heard of "RhodeMap RI"? It's HUD's attempt to introduce social equity in Rhode Island. Rhode Island won a $1.9-million grant from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development in 2011. With that grant, the state developed RhodeMap RI. The result is social engineering at its best. The plan calls for residents to live in "growth centers," densely packed urban centers that are going to be "futuristic, clean, prosperous." That's what the plan says. Sounds like another public housing project to me. Can anyone say "Cabrini Green?"

RhodeMap RI is meant to identify "infill and development" areas that are open spaces in wealthy communities that can be filled with housing accessible to everyone. The "goal" is to limit suburbanization by creating self-contained communities that have job sites, transportation, and housing, thus rendering vehicles obsolete. But one has to wonder about the goal after considering what's in the plan. Is "economic development" really the goal?

From the RhodeMap RI economic development plan:

To help support and guide an equity focus in all we do, RhodeMap RI established a Social Equity Advisory Committee (SEAC). This committee ... advises RhodeMap RI on two major topics - designing an inclusive, diverse process and reviewing the development of all goals, strategies and policies to ensure that the impact of RhodeMap RI widens opportunities for all and reduces disparities.

Also in the report is "The Equity Profile" (a report prepared by PolicyLink and the Program for Environmental and Regional Equity for RhodeMap RI). It offers four reasons why pursing equity is important for the well-being of Rhode Island. The most interesting one is presented below:

To secure America's prosperity, we must implement a new economic model based on equity, fairness, and opportunity.

The report also includes this:

The State of Rhode Island, Department of Statewide Planning as the lead agency implementing RhodeMap RI and the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the national agency that has provided funding for RhodeMap, expects that all aspects of equity will be a component of RhodeMap RI plans. Each RhodeMap RI committee is responsible for keeping equity in the forefront and weaving equity into all plans and work products/documents.

An essential goal of the RhodeMap RI process was to address social equity, particularly looking at systems, programs and ideas that have the effect of marginalizing certain groups of people.

The plan even attacks the 10th amendment to the US Constitution:

To implement this plan, barriers between and among federal and state programs must be dismantled to help ensure they respond to the needs of the communities.

Critics of RhodeMap RI say it’s social engineering, and that it will destroy local land-use planning. Rhode Island Center for Freedom and Prosperity founder Mike Stenhouse says:

It's a socialist vs. capitalist thing; it's not a liberal vs. conservative thing. People have been fighting this all over the country. But once Rhode Island is the first entire state to pass this plan, the federal government will seize control.

Stenhouse does have recent history on his side: Fearless Leader Barack Hussein Obama IS a socialist.

Rhode Island state representative Patricia Morgan, R-Coventry, said:

UN Agenda 21 more like. We had some lefties try the same crap up here. Nobody would rent the shoe-boxes and no businesses rented the bottom floors - other than nail salon kind of outfit.

Better than trailer parks, but just.

This is an important article, but I don’t think most people realize the impact this has on everyday living.
Drastic changes were made to my city, Los Angeles. Most of those changes involved just a handful of people, the police chief, the City Council, union leaders and judges. I live in the San Fernando Valley, a part of Los Angeles with about 3 million people. The fact that Americans moved out of the San Fernando Valley attests to the fact that we didn’t want to live in a third world city and didn’t agree with our elected officials or the courts. What can you do about the courts?

The states of Mississippi, Arkansas, Utah, Kansas, Nevada, New Mexico, Nebraska, West Virginia, Idaho, Hawaii, Main, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Montana, Delaware, South Dakota, Alaska, North Dakota, D.C., Vermont, and Wyoming all have less than 3 million people.

Los Angeles County has 9,818,605 people, making it the country’s largest county. That makes Los Angeles County more populace than 42 states, so what happens here should be a forewarning.

The importation of foreigners throughout America is Obama’s intent on destroying America’s sovereignty. I expect he will be seen as the “Johnny Appleseed” of a One World Order.

Below, I picked out 5 schools at random in the 4 corners of the SFV and one in the center.

In 1977, The California Supreme Court ordered the Los Angeles School District to come up with a plan to desegregate their schools. The school district came up with forced bussing and parents moved out of the Los Angeles School District.

It was called “White Flight”. Homes became hard to sell, apartments were hard to rent and schools started closing. Illegal aliens replaced Americans in Los Angeles. Teachers and all government employees answering to the gods of the unions turned against Americans.

Special Order 40 is a police mandate implemented in 1979 by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), its Police Chief Daryl Gates and the Los Angeles City Council preventing LAPD officers from questioning people for the sole purpose of determining their immigration status. The mandate was passed in an effort to encourage residents who are in the country illegally to report crimes without intimidation. The order states:

Officers shall not initiate police action with the objective of discovering the alien status of a person.
Officers shall not arrest nor book persons for violation of title 8, section 1325 of the United States Immigration code (Illegal Entry).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special_Order_40

Los Angeles became a sanctuary city.

In 1992 Cardinal Roger Mahony said 771 lives in Los Angeles County were lost last year due to gang violence and brought terror to families.

Back in 1994, Californians had had enough and voted for proposition 187, it passed 58.93% to 41.07%.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/California_Proposition_187_%281994%29
Proposition 187 included the following key elements:

All law enforcement agents who suspect that a person who has been arrested is in violation of immigration laws must investigate the detainee’s immigration status, and if they find evidence of illegality they must report it to the attorney general of California, and to the federal Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS). They must also notify the detainee of his or her apparent status as an alien.

Local governments are prohibited from preventing or limiting the fulfillment of this requirement.

If government agents suspect anyone applying for benefits of being illegal immigrants, the agents must report their suspicions in writing to the appropriate enforcement authorities.

A person shall not receive any public social services until he or she has been verified as a United States citizen or as a lawfully admitted alien.

A person shall not receive any health care services from a publicly funded health care facility until he or she meets the requirements above.

A public elementary or secondary school shall not admit or permit the attendance of any child until he or she meets the requirements above.

By 1996, each school district shall verify the legal status of each child enrolled within the district and the legal status of each parent or guardian of each child.

A child who is in violation of the requirements above shall not continue to attend the school 90 days from the date of notice to the attorney general and INS.

The attorney general must keep records on all such cases and make them available to any other government entity that wishes to inspect them.

The manufacture, distribution, sale, or use of false citizenship or residency documents is a state felony punishable by imprisonment or fine.

Judge Mariana Pfaelzer overturned the majority of the law. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mariana_Pfaelzer

http://www.antibiaslaw.com/westchester-false-claims-case/federal-judge-westchester-made-false-claims-us-over-6year-period
Judge Denise Cote rules that the federal government’s zoning laws supersede local zoning laws forcing housing for the poor in all neighborhoods. This judgment means that you can no longer expect to move up to a better neighborhood with better and safer schools. Expect high density apartments to move into your neighborhood along a transportation corridor.

Isn’t that what Obama’s decision to import illegal alien children is all about, to implant the seed to an open society, free of borders, place these kids throughout the United States to places that refused to be sanctuary cities? Cities that will have to school, house and feed these kids. Government dependent kids.

His plan is to do the same with granting asylum to millions of illegal aliens, make them government dependent. You will not hear a requirement of these illegal aliens to be self-sufficient or to get an education. Every city is now a sanctuary city.

Judge Denise Cote knows exactly what she is doing. She is pushing this Agenda 21 United Nations BS on us in the guise of being green. It is really a means of redistributing wealth to people that have no desire to fit in, to get an education or to even learn English. People that will work under the table so they can get all the government freebies.

What they are doing in Los Angeles now is creating streets for busses, no cars allowed. Along these bus lines they are building high-density housing against our own zoning laws. The developer is allowed to build higher if they designate one third of the housing to the poor.

These bus lines are built at surface street level on purpose to obstruct traffic. The idea behind this is to create enough traffic to where people will be forced into this high-density housing and take public transportation.

In another effort to increase traffic, the city changed their zoning laws to allow second homes on property that is over 12,000 square feet. The city is also removing lanes on our streets and turning them into bicycle paths and what they call mini-parks. They had a proposal to build a football stadium with no parking.

Our mayor ran a campaign to create high-density housing and 100 percent electric cars. Our city already owns 30,000 low income housing units and Mayor Garcetti wants 30,000 more.

Somehow I don’t think the citizens voted for this. There has to be voter fraud involved. What Judge Cote is doing is trying to make sure there is no other city to run to.

Our vote means nothing anymore. It is a judge, it only takes one, that will create the laws on immigration, abortion, voter ID, marriage, health, and our freedoms.

In 2011 Newt Gingrich at Values Voter Summit – How to Fight Back Against Out-of-Control Judges speech Newt said at the 4:54 mark: “One of the major reasons that I am running for President of the United States is the 9th Circuit Court decision in 2002 that ‘One Nation Under God’ in the Pledge of Allegiance was unconstitutional”

At the 6:48 mark, Newt says: “…because if judges think they are unchallengeable they are inedible corrupt. Corrupted in a moral sense. I don’t mean taking money, but I mean in a sense of arrogance, in the sense of imposing on the rest of us. Whether it is one judge in California deciding he knows more than 8 million Californians about the definition of marriage, whether it is a judge San Antonio who rules that not only can school children can not say a prayer at their graduation, they can not use the word benediction, they can not use the word invocation, they can not use the word God, they can not ask the audience to stand, and if they do any of these things, he will lock up their superintendent.

Now the idea of an American judge becoming a dictator of words is so alien to our tradition, and such a violation of our Constitution as I will explain in a moment, that that judge should be removed from office summarily. “

At the 10:53 mark, Newt says: “Jefferson is the most clear example of taking on the judiciary, in the Judicial Reform Act of 1802, the Jeffersonians eliminated 18 out of 35 federal judges. Didn’t impeach them, just abolish their office and told them to go home.

Now I’m not, let me be clear, I am not as bold as Jefferson. I think the judge in San Antonio would be an important initial signal and I think the 9th Circuit Court should be served notice that it runs the risk of ceasing to exist.”

This is Agenda 21.
Take names and Google them.
Raj Chetty, Ed Glaeser and Nathaniel Hendren of Harvard University
Patrick Kline and Emmanuel Saez of the University of California at Berkeley
Eli Lehrer and Lori Sanders the authors

What they said is that every effort that the states or the federal government has tried to eliminate poverty has failed and that we should federalize their program by providing a guaranteed income and eliminating the tax credits that entice people to buy their own homes.

In my city of Los Angeles they have installed dedicated bus lines that purposely interfere with traffic. The thought behind this is that people will be forced to move into the cities subsidized high-rise apartments or condos built on fault lines to get around. One third of those people living in their high rise apartments will be the poor because White flight didn’t work. They are installing economic zones along those transportation corridors so that the people living in condos on the transportation corridor can get to their jobs on the transportation corridors.

They have taken lanes out of our streets and made mini parks and they have made rickshaws legal. The city is renting bicycles and have plans for renting golf carts to get around.

Jerry Brown from 1995
http://biggovernment.com/mrichmond/2010/06/10/jerry-brown-flashback-we-need-more-welfare-and-fewer-jobs/

The conventional viewpoint says we need a jobs program and we need to cut welfare. Just the opposite! We need more welfare and fewer jobs. Jobs for every American is doomed to failure because of modern automation and production. We ought to recognize it and create an income-maintenance system so every single American has the dignity and the wherewithal for shelter, basic food, and medical care. I’m talking about welfare for all. Without it, you’re going to have warfare for all. Without a universal health care like every other civilized country, without a minimum level of income, this country will explode. You can’t blame the guy at the bottom forever. At some point there’s a reaction and we’ll see that the real criminals are those calling the tune, making the rules, and walking to the bank. We have the money, we have the brain power. The United States now has the highest measured wealth of any nation ever in the history of the world. We could rebuild our cities, we could create the kind of buying power and community well-being that will provide for peace. The guaranteed income is one way.

Another way is to have always the availability of work in a nonprofit, in community service. A third is to start giving people training to develop skills where they can be self-supporting. You could come up with a cash supplement. Even conservatives have suggested a negative income tax to cut out the bureaucracy. If we were smart, we’d get rid of welfare and give people a family assistance like they do in Europe…

The problem isn’t even a problem. Automation and technology would be a great boon if it were creative, if there were more leisure, more opportunity to engage in raising a family, providing guidance to the young, all the stuff we say we need. America will work if we’re all in it together. It’ll work when there’s a shared sense of destiny. It can be done! It’s all there! What isn’t there is the leadership to create the kind of social network, the safety net, the distribution that would truly create a just and equal society…

We have to restore power to the family, to the neighborhood, and the community with a non-market principle, a principle of equality, of charity, of let’s-take-care-of-one-another. That’s the creative challenge. First, expose relentlessly the big lie that comes over the tube every night-that if you just go out and find that job, and work harder, it’ll all be fine. It won’t! There’s not enough work to go around and a lot of the pay is not fair. Unless you totally yank up that system and create a better one, unless the spirit changes, unless the heart opens, unless we confront power with the truth of our own unarmed but absolute fearless truth, we’re not going to overcome it. Evil is too embedded to be overcome by anything other than a spiritual challenge.

“...self-contained communities that have job sites...”

Until the businesses fold up or move because they can’t find employees who can pass a drug test, or keep the employees along with everyone else from robbing them blind. Not to mention the taxes, fees, etc., that socialist entities require.
