"What in God's name is Pope Francis doing?"
La Salette Journey ^ | November 23, 2014 | Paul Melanson

As reported in The Boston Globe:

"What in God’s name is Pope Francis, a Jesuit, doing? Does he understand the outrage of parents worldwide at rampant priest child abuse? Pressures beyond Vatican control, as I discuss in detail below, can be expected soon to compel much more severe changes if Francis fails to act now effectively and transparently both to curtail child abuse and to make the hierarchy, including himself, accountable to independent Catholic oversight.

This governmental pressure has already begun to be applied with respect to Vatican finances, as a result of the continuing European investigations of multiple misdeeds involving both the Vatican Bank and the Vatican’s own significant portfolio assets, as well as with respect to the investigation of the child abuse scandal by the remarkable Australian Royal Commission investing child abuse in organizations, including the Catholic Church.

Prospects worldwide for criminal prosecutions of Catholic Church officials have seemingly caused the Vatican to focus on overdue reforms in ways that earlier financial penalties and even shameful publicity had rarely done, but has Pope Francis and his advisers yet gotten enough of the message? One must be skeptical here.

Finger of God has given us Obama, Francis, all of the Democrats and radical islam. Repent right now from turning away from what the Bible actually teaches and fasten your seatbelts. It’s going to be a long, hard ride.

The Boston Glob is nuts.

They have been one of the chief advocates of gay marriage and gay clergy, and then they scream and yell when it doesn’t work out, and blame everyone but themselves.

They even managed to find an abusive gay clergyman to write editorials for them, back in the days when they kicked this scandal off.

Spiritual warfare is on.
God is allowing that the USA should feel it.
The bigger picture always points to Jesus Christ.

A Catholic right here at FR told me Catholics dont read the Bible...I agree with your take but Catholics apparently dont read the Bible, or if they do it`s secondary to what some old Fart in a funny hat says

Second hand religion is when you can’t pray to God yourself for your sins or forgiveness, and you get someone else to tell you, through the Bible, and what God meant.

We are to come to God ourselves and read it for our own knowledge. People are easily deceived when they let someone else direct their faith, without direct prayer and reading the living word and letting it minister to their hearts.

Believing in the Bible would be Sola Scritura...that isn't enough for Catholics.

They add their man-made amendments and then forbid Catholics to read the Bible.

Their Bible studies consists of re-constructing the Bible in a way that supports their heretical belief.

Pray for our Catholic brothers and sisters. Pray that they may see the Truth.

Pray that they may escape the cult that holds them hostage.

Believing in the Bible would be Sola Scritura...that isn't enough for Catholics. It was enough for Christians for centuries, but not now?
They add their man-made amendments and then forbid Catholics to read the Bible.Their priests shouldn't do that.
Their Bible studies consists of re-constructing the Bible in a way that supports their heretical belief. You're talking about the Catholics now, right?
Pray for our Catholic brothers and sisters. Pray that they may see the Truth.Pray that they may escape the cult that holds them hostage.
Now you're talking.

From my understanding Pope Francis has actually leveled the field in regard to investigating child abuse. Prior to him the Bishops accused went through a different process than priest and other religious.

He has said that all accused will go through the same process.

Yes. There seem to be plenty of problems with Pope Francis, but I don’t think this is one of them.

He is a Jesuit.

They are messes. I had a child in a Jesuit school. The principal was a crossdressing Jesuit.
