She is backed up by groups like Race Forward, a pro-immigration group, that says that the term “illegal immigrant” is a weasel term used by anti-immigrant people to “dehumanize” others. Actually, "illegal immigrant" is a weasel term because it isn't accurate. The term "immigrant" connotes legal status.
The correct term is "illegal alien".
