Another 50 years of Big Government currency devaluation and a Big Mac will be $100.

Again, guerrilla marketing. You know you thought about McGriddles at some point the last few days.

Very possible.
I remember when McDonalds was a place where high school kids got some job experience with maybe one 20-something as manager.

Now in the view of the regime, it’s supposed to provide a middle class living for the masses.

McDonald’s should capitalize on this and say “Our breakfast is so good it’s worth fighting for!

If current trends continue, there won’t be a whole lot of McDonald’ses in 50 years: www.usatoday.com/story/money/business/2014/10/21/mcdonalds-fast-food-restaurants-earnings/17652697/

Gotta love Philly.

Maybe they’re putting cocaine into the McDonald’s “food” there?

One difference between the end-of-breakfast time and the closing time melees: the closing time at least involved rage at an actual McDonald’s employee.

I’m not sure that “come to McDonald’s and get beaten with a broomstick” is a really great marketing message.

OMG. LOL at work...so...kinda proves I'm FReepin instead of workin. :)

Jimmy, that was my point exactly. But they need not even come out and say it. The message is sent via the viral video, no?

On the other hand, did you see the way the guy being attacked deflected the broomstick and the chairs coming at him? Maybe McDonald’s food is more nutritious than most of us believe? The guy was a machine!

“McDonalds deliberately committing property damage to one of their stores to garner sales? Heck no. “

Insurance scam?

Again, guerrilla marketing. You know you thought about McGriddles at some point the last few days.

That's true - I did think about McGriddles just this past Saturday. And then I thought about the location telling me "we stopped serving breakfast three minutes ago" and then I think about a fellow customer throwing a chair at me, and then I decide I'm not hungry for McDonalds.

Things are a little different in Philly since the days when Frank Rizzo was mayor (only major city not to have black riots in the 1960s/1970s, for a reason).

OK, but work with me here, Alex. Say you happen at some point to be driving through Idaho some morning (before 10:30 AM) and those same thoughts about McGriddles come up. Are you realistically going to worry about having a chair thrown at you given the demographics?

Don’t people get a little weaker when they are hungry?

Marketing is all about long-term associations, don’t you think? Isn’t that why companies focus on teenagers rather than senior citizens when the latter have much more money.

Staged by McDonalds? I don’t think so. I will not go in any McDonalds in a big city.

In 1982, Columbia, South Carolina, went to a McDonalds right next to the Columbia Zoo for breakfast. We, the only white crackers in the place stood in line while the McDonalds employees waited on everyone behind us. After all the other homeys were waited on, they took our order and finally served us.

We were not welcome there.
